Past Simple

We use Past Simple to talk about activities or situations that began and ended in the past.

For example:

• Yesterday
• Last night (morning, week, year, etc.)
• Two days ago
• In 1991
• The other day

Past Simple

Form:

Most Past Simple verbs are formed by adding “–ed” to a verb.

Some verbs have irregular past forms . This means that the Past Simple doesn’t end in “–ed”.
