Описывать свои увлечения и интересы с использованием лексики по теме;

Оборудование урока: УМК "Spotlight" 10 под редакцией Ю.Е. Ваулиной, Дж. Дули; аудио к тексту.

Организационный момент (3 мин)
Teacher: Hello, dear pupils.
Ps: Hello, teacher.
Teacher: I'm glad to see you. How are you doing today?
Ps: I'm good, thank you. And you?
Teacher: I'm very well. Thank you. Sit down, please.
Teacher: Tell me, please, what day is it today?
Ps: It's...
Teacher: Yes, you're right. And what date is it today?
Ps: It's...
Teacher: And do you remember what month is it now?
Ps: It's...
Teacher: Very good. How clever you are!
Фонетическая зарядка. Введение в тему (10 мин)
Teacher: Look at the board. Here you can see some photos showing different activities. What are they?
(На доске прикреплены фото различных видов деятельности, ученики описывают картинки)
Ps: In the picture 1, teenagers are playing computer games.
In the picture 2, teenagers are chatting online.
In the picture 3, teenagers are listening music etc.
Teacher: Well done, pupils. Which of these activities do you enjoy doing?
Ps: I enjoy going on trips to the countryside.
I enjoy hanging out with friends.
I enjoy surfing the Net etc.
Teacher: Great job. So, pupils, how do you think what is the topic of our lesson?
Ps: The topic of our lesson is ''Teen activities''.

3. Изучение нового материала (20 мин)
Teacher: Open your books on p. 10 ex. 1. Look at the table. Which of these activities do teens in your country enjoy doing?
(Ученики устно составляют предложения по примеру)
Например: Most teens enjoy chatting online.
A few teens enjoy spending time with their family.
Some teens enjoy doing voluntary work.
Not many teens enjoy going clubbing.
Teacher: Good job, pupils. Now look at the title of the text in ex. 2 p. 10. What do you expect to read about?
Ps: I think the text will be about what 16 y.o. teens like to do in their free time.
Teacher: Thank you for your opinion. Let's listen the text and know.

Teacher: So, pupils, how many teens are telling about their hobbies? What are their names? What countries are they from?
Ps: Six teenagers are sharing about their hobbies and free time activities. They are Fiona from Ireland, Josie from Scotland, Jamie from Australia, Kim from Canada, Brandon from the USA and Emily from England.
Teacher: Right you are. Let's read the text and answer the questions.

4. Обобщение, систематизация и применение знаний (5 мин)
Teacher: Now, pupils look at the ex. 4 on p. 11. Imagine you are a TV reporter and your partner is one of the teenagers in the text on pp.10-11. Find out what he/she likes/ doesn't like doing. Work in pairs

P1: Are you an active person? Do you like outdoor activities?
P2: Yes, I am. I hate TV and I find sitting in front of a TV screen a waste of time.
P1: What sport activities do you prefer?
P2: I'm a skateboard fanatic and get to and from school every day on one.
P1: How do you spend your weekends?
P2: At the weekends, I try to get out of the city and go rock climbing and paragliding.
P1: Sounds exciting. What about extreme kinds of sport?
P2. Extreme sports are my passion! I think it's important to look good and I go for the sporty look.

Teacher: It was very interesting to work with you, pupils. You're so active and clever!
Teacher: I'm very glad you like the lesson. Now, smile those pupils who think their work was great, stand up those who think their work could be better and put your hands up those who think they were not very active today.
