Тема: Захоплення мого друга

Мета: повторити та закріпити ЛО з теми «Дружба», «Захоплення та хобі», тренувати навички усного монологічного та діалогічного мовлення, читання та перекладу, розвивати уміння висловлювати власну думку, виховувати товариськість, повагу до інших людей та їх захоплень.

Обладнання: мультимедійне обладнання, фільм про дружбу, презентація до теми, картки з виразами про дружбу

Перебіг уроку

І. організаційний момент

- Good morning, children! Nice to meet you! Today we’ll have the lesson of discussion. We shall speak about friends and friendship. We’ll discuss such questions as

“What is a friend?

“What is friendship?

“Are you a good friend?”

“What is your and your friend’s hobby?”

I wish you good luck at the lesson.

II. Основна частина

• First, look at the screen. I have made one film for you about Friendship. I want you watch it attentively.

There are many sayings and proverbs about friends and friendship. I choose some of them. Read, translate and say what they mean.

What proverbs about friends do you know?

1. A friend in need is a friend indeed.

3. They are rich who have true friends.

5. A friend to everyone is a friend to nobody.

• Some British girls and boys share with you their opinions on friends and friendship. Who do you agree with? Use the expressions of agreement and disagreement.

• 1. Friendship is a thing that helps you to live.

• 2. Friendship is a thing that teachers you how to get a long with other people.

• 3. Friends are people who are always good to you.

• 4. Good friends are people who spend a lot of time together and share their secrets.

• 5. True friends are people who are supportive and never betray you.

III. Discuss the questions on the theme.

• 2. Which is better – to have many friends, one friend or to be friendless?

• I see practically all of you think that it is better to have many friends.

• You have many friends but I’m sure that all of you have the best friend.

• - Who are your best friends? ( учащиеся подходят к доске и показывают фотографии своих лучших друзей на плакатах).

• - Why do you think they are the best?

• You have learned from your textbooks what British children do after school. Their favourite afterschool activities are: dancing, swimming, playing on computer, watching TV, reading, going shopping, playing sports, helping parents.

• What do you like doing after school? Please, speak about your afterschool activities. (for example: Arevik and Yulya’s dialogue:

• Which of afterschool activities do you like?

• I like being alone and relax.

• When relax, what do you prefer doing?

• I prefer watching TV.

• What do you like watching on TV?

• I like watching concerts.

• Yes, I am keen on pop music. It’s a change from boring school life.

Your afterschool activities are often your hobbies, aren’t they?

What hobbies do British children write to the Young Telegraph about? Do you want to know?

Let’s read about their hobbies. Please, open your textbooks on page 177 and read aloud.

What hobby has Alex got? Is he amused by his hobby? Is it amusing to do tricks with yoyo?

What hobby has Susanne got? Is she bored with writing letters? Is she keen on writing letters?

What hobby has Justin got? Is he excited to collect stickers? Is it exciting to swap stickers?

You’ve told us about your friends. They are good and true friends. And what about you? Are you good friends? Do this quiz and find it out.

Children, I am excited to work with you. You are smart boys and girls. You have tried hard.

I think you should get good marks. Thank you for your work. Please, repeat at home your stories about hobbies and read exercise 2 at page 83 in Reader. You will be surprised reading about unusual hobbies.
