-Mikhail Ivanovich Glinka is not only the founder of Russian classics. He was the first to achieve wide recognition abroad. His works formed the basis of Russian folk music, at one time Glinka became an innovator in this matter.

"To create beauty, you have to be pure of soul yourself," – Mikhail Ivanovich Glinka said.

Mikhail Ivanovich personally knew the greatest writers of his time : A.S.Pushkin, V.A.Zhukovsky, A.S. Griboyedov, A.A. Delvig. Thanks to his trip to Europe, which lasted several years, the great Russian composer absorbed the world experience.

His success came after the operas: "Ivan Susanin" and "Ruslan and Lyudmila"

In the 1990s, Mikhail Glinka's "Patriotic Song" was the official anthem of the Russian Federation.

Mikhail Ivanovich Glinka died quite suddenly on February 15, 1857 in Berlin and was buried at the Lutheran cemetery. The cause of death was almost banal pneumonia.
