He slows his breathing,

Willard Wigan is the creator of the smallest works of art on Earth!

He was born in 1957 in Birmingham, England. Wigan started making tiny things when he was a child. People made him feel small because he had learning difficulties, so he decided to show them how significant small could be!

Chimpanzee Art

In the 1950s, the animal behaviourist Desmond Morris wanted to try to understand chimps’ ability to be creative, as well as our own human desire for artistic creativity.

He worked with the chimpanzee Congo at London Zoo.

In 1957, Morris held an exhibition of ‘chimpanzee art’, which included some of Congo’s work

Congo did over 400 paintings

He started painting at 3 years old

Congo was a popular guest on TV show
