The main idea

They will be warmed up before the new lesson. They will practice their pronunciation of vocabulary words and then read the text with “popcorn” game. Then they will make their own project about preserving animals. They will do their project work step by step.

Т: First of all we’ll review materials about Kazakhstan which we took at the previous lessons. We’ll do it as a press conference. One of you will be a guide and others are journalists.

P1: What countries does Kazakhstan border?

P2: How many regions are there in our country?

P3: What is the capital of Kazakhstan?

P4: What kind of natural resources are there in Kazakhstan?

P5: What is the monetary unit of Kazakhstan? Etc



  • Dividing the class into groups (two groups)

  • They will work in one group. They should read the text with “Popcorn” game and then discuss it together.

We want to know about our country as much as possible. Kazakhstan has always been a country of rich history, tradition and culture. It has different kinds of natural resources, different kinds of rare beautiful animals and plants. There are a lot of picturesque places. Today we’ll speak about the wildlife of Kazakhstan.

Our planet is home to a vast collection of animals. They live everywhere.

Today the wildlife of Kazakhstan includes 158 species of mammals, 458 species of birds, 50 species of reptiles, 12 species of amphibians, and 150 species of fishes. We may divide the place of living of animals into 5 zones: steppes, forests, deserts, mountains and water.
