Тема: Travelling to English-speaking countries.

Цель урока: развитие коммуникативных навыков

Задачи:

Обучающие

• умению понимать английскую речь;

• культуре общения;

• развитие речевых навыков;

• развитие догадки учащихся.

Воспитательные

-воспитание уважения к культуре страны изучаемого языка;

-умение работать в группе;

-развитие положительной мотивации к дальнейшему изучению английского языка;

-развитие культурного общения.

Развивающие

• развитие логического мышления, воображения, памяти;

• формирование мотивации к изучению английского языка

Образовательные

• тренировка навыков в говорении (диалогическая и монологическая речь),

• совершенствование умения пользоваться дополнительной литературой,

• активизация употребления страноведческой лексики в устной и письменной речи

• обобщение информации о путешествии, понимание и высказывание в соответствии с конкретной ситуацией общения

Практические цели: закрепить знания, умения и навыки всех видов речевой деятельности: письма, чтения, говорения, развивать навыки монологической речи.

Ход урока

I. Teacher: Good morning! I am very glad to see you at our lesson. Look at the blackboard! There are some words and expressions on it. Read them and guess what the topic of our lesson is.

Countries, nationalities, English, speaking, plane, train, capital, London (Слайд 1)

P1: May be about travelling?

T: Now children we begin our exciting Round- the-World Tour. We shall visit five English- speaking countries: the UK, the USA, Canada, New Zealand and Australia. We are going to visit four different countries: Europe, Asia, North America and Australia. During our exciting and unusual tour we are going not only to see the sights of the countries and get to know their peoples, improve our English.

II.Развитие навыков говорения.

Teacher: We have read and talked a lot about traveling, about different countries. What do you think about traveling?

Teacher: Do you like to travel?

In what countries is English spoken as a first language?

What languages are easily understood in any part of the world?

By the way, what is the Russian for?

Teacher: Now, look at the board and read English proverbs: East or West home is best.

The first transport of our journey will be an airplane.

How can we get there?

Now let’s speak about Canada.

What nationality live in Canada?

What is the most popular sport in this country?

I know most popular comedian.

This funny guy is Jim Carrey. He is Canadian.

Teacher: Very good. Look at the board.

The 4-th country which we are going to visit is Australia and its capital Canberra. But first we must be ready for our trip. First we should choose transport which will carry us to Australia. (Слайд 20-25)

What is Australia famous for? Australia famous for its nature.

Птица кукабурра смеется как человек.

Ехидна неуклюжая помесь ежа и дикобраза. Она может прожить месяц без пищи.

Казуары это нелетающие огромные птицы, проживающие на северо-востоке Австралии. Птица вырастает до 2 м высотой, а ее вес достигает 60 кг.

Коала. Эти млекопитающие обладают индивидуальными отпечатками пальцев, причем они поразительно похожи на людские. 

Собаки динго были завезены европейцами, но сейчас это самые один из самых знаменитых жителей Австралии.

Kangaroo is the most popular animal in Australia. It is on the herb of Australia.

V. Teacher: Children, look at these slides. Some interesting facts about New Zealand (Слайд 26-31).

1. The Blue Lake has clearest water in the world.

2. There are no snakes on the Islands.

3. New Zealand has the largest number of penguin species in the world.

4. Powelliphanta is a huge snail found only in New Zealand. She eats meat

By the way, do you like film “Lord of the Ring”? The film was made in New Zealand.
