Project « My hometown»

I live in the capital of the Republic of Buryatia - Ulan-Ude. This is not a metropolis, but this city can not be called small.

Ulan-Ude is a very old city. The date of its Foundation is 1666. Initially, my city was called Verkhneudinsk and only in 1934 he was given the name that he bears to this day.

The population of Ulan-Ude is 434 thousand people. Two Nations live together on the territory of my city. Buryats and Russians. This land belongs to both Nations, so they respect and honor each other's traditions.

In Ulan-Ude there are many attractions. In Russia, it is customary to put monuments to the leader of the proletariat Lenin. In every city there are monuments to this man, but in Ulan-Ude he is the biggest, this Lenin's head is even listed in the Guinness book of records.

Also one of the attractions of my city are temple, which in Ulan-Ude several. In my town, a very popular religion is Buddhism, so the temple here is very revered.

In my city there are very kind people, there are a lot of beautiful places, and most importantly in Ulan-Ude was my childhood, so this city is especially dear to me. Next year I leave my native Ulan-Ude, but I will always remember it as a beautiful and well-groomed city.
