Урок английского языка посвящён празднованию Победы в Великой Отечественной Войне 1941-1945 гг. Предназначен для возрастной категории - 8 класс. Данный урок будет полезен учителям иностранного языка для подведения итогов темы «Средства массовой информации». Материал урока  включает  в себя региональный компонент о Курской битве.

Методы и технологии: ИКТ, технологии развития критического мышления

Цель урока:

Развивающая: развитие мыслительных и познавательных способностей обучающихся;

Образовательная: перенос лексико-грамматического материала в ситуации речевого общения на материале о родной стране;

Воспитательная: воспитание чувства гордости за свою страну и любовь к родине, патриотизма, готовность к уважительному отношению к культурным традициям нашей родины.

Планируемые результаты:

Личностные УУД: осознание границ собственного знания и незнания, формирование эстетических потребностей и вкусов.

Познавательные УУД: развитие умения самостоятельно эффективно использовать приобретенные знания, извлекать информацию из иллюстраций и текста, делать выводы на основе анализа объекта, устанавливать аналогии, обобщать и классифицировать по признакам, прогнозировать содержание по заголовку.

Регулятивные УУД: развитие умения определять цели и задачи деятельности на уроке, определять успешность выполнения своего задания, осуществлять рефлексию.

Коммуникативные УУД: развитие умения строить продуктивное сотрудничество с учителем в рамках общения, формировать собственное мнение и выражать его.

Оборудование: проектор, ноутбук, раздаточный материал.

Ход урока:

1. Организационный момент

-Dear boys and girls! I`m glad to see all of you at the lesson.

Фонетическая разминка

- Here you see a tongue twister. The key to practicing tongue twisters is to never take it seriously and have as much fun as possible. Read the tongue twister «Which Witch…». I suggest you to translate this tongue twister, it will be easier for you to understand.

«If two witches would watch two watches, which witch would watch which watch?»

- What sound is most often repeated in a tongue twister?

(It’s sound [w])

- Children! Look at the picture. Describe what you see in it. What do you think is the meaning of the picture? (Приложение 1) and say what`s the main idea of it.

Возможный ответ: There are red poppies in the picture and a soldier bowing to them or bowing to a tomb which is possibly under them. The picture symbolizes soldiers who sacrificed for us and we must never forget about them.

Возможный ответ: We are going to speak about the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

- Right you are.Today we are going to speak about the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. Victory Day is a wonderful holiday different from all other holidays. It is a national holiday and at the same time it is a very personal one. Young generations know about the Great Patriotic War only from books and films. But we should never forget those who gave their lives for our Motherland.

2. Актуализация знаний

- Students, do you know what the Great Patriotic War is? Let`s complete this Mind Map.

Ученикам предлагается соотнести значения слов с их определениями. Если ребятам будет сложно понять значения слов, можно предложить соотнести слова с их переводом на русский язык. (Приложение 2 задания по уровням)

3. Творческое применение и добывание знаний в новой ситуации

Прогнозирование содержания текста

(Задача: развитие умения прогнозировать содержание текста по иллюстрации и заголовку; развитие умений ознакомительного чтения.)

Ученику предлагается посмотреть на заголовок текста и спрогнозировать его содержание.

Учитель отрабатывает с классом чтение новых слов фронтально и индивидуально.

- Now, I want you listen to the Russian wartime song, written during the Great Patriotic War. The song depicts a girl longing for her fighting military husband. It was first sung by female students from a Russian industrial school in Moscow to bid farewell to Russian soldiers going on the battle front against Nazi Germany in July 1941 The song is the source of the nickname of the BM-8, BM-13, and BM-31 rocket launchers that were used by the Red Army in the Great Patriotic War.

Письмо

Задача: развитие умений продуктивного письма (написание текста для озвучивания видеоролика).

Ученикам предлагается посмотреть видеоролики написать текст для его озвучки (до 100 слов).

- Children! Watch the video and write the text for voice acting.

Возможный ответ: This was the greatest and largest tank battle in the history of not only our country but the history of the whole world and it took place from July 5 to August 23, 1943. The goal of this battle was to prevent the fascist troops from offensive blow and preferably to completely destroy their strategic tank forces. The battle of Kursk is considered one of the main and key battles in the Great Patriotic War.

Home task: write a short article about the role of your family in the Great Patriotic War.

-Victory Day is a symbol of a national pride, glory. It consolidates and joins everybody today. In our country Victory day is celebrated by all people in every city, town, village, because it brought peace not only for the Soviet people but for the people of many European countries. I’m glad that you know the history of Russia! We must remember the Great Patriotic War and its heroes, honor the memory of those who gave their lives for the freedom. Therefore your homework will be to prepare information about participants of Great Patriotic War. August 23 was declared the Day of Military Glory of Russia in honor of the victory in this significant battle.
