«Урок английского языка в 11 классе "Выдающиеся люди Беларуси"»

11 класс

Тема. Выдающиеся люди Республики Беларусь.

Цель. Совершенствование коммуникативной компетенции по теме в рамках коммуникативной ситуации «Выдающиеся люди Республики Беларусь».

Задачи: создать условия для

- совершенствования лексических навыков, расширения кругозора учащихся;

- развития аналитического мышления, памяти, развития связности построения устных высказываний при рассказе биографии знаменитых людей Беларуси, развития умения чтения с выборочным извлечением необходимой информации;

- способствовать формированию национальной гордости и самосознания.

Предполагается, что к окончанию урока учащиеся смогут воспроизвести монологическое высказывание-повествование (не менее 12 фраз) на основе прочитанного текста.

Формы работы: парная, фронтальная, групповая

Методы: коммуникативный, поисковый, иллюстративный.

Оборудование: презентация PowerPoint, раздаточный материал, ноутбук, игра

Today we`ll speak about famous people, Belarussians.

What synonyms do you know for the word famous? (prominent, genius, world-recognized, outstanding)

Look at the pictures. Do you know anybody of these people? What did they do? Why are they famous?

SB. p 185, ex 2

a) Look at the words in the chart. Match with definitions.

b) You are going to read one of the three articles about these famous Belarusians of the past. A’s read about Maksim Bogdanovich, B’s about Francysk Skoryna, C`s about St Euphrosinia of Polotsk. While reading complete the chart.
