Внеклассное мероприятие "Home, Sweet Home"(6 класс)

 поможет закрепить лексический и грамматический материал по теме "Дом. Квартира". Игровая подача материала будет способствовать повышению их интереса к изучению английского языка. 

Звездный час «Home, Sweet Home»

Цели: обобщение изученного материала по теме «Дом. Квартира»; развитие грамматических и лекси­ческих навыков и навыков аудирования; развитие интереса учащихся к изучению ан­глийского языка.

Оборудование: мультимедийная установка, таб­лички с номерами от 1 до 7 по количеству участников в каждой команде.

Ход мероприятия

В игре принимают участие 2 команды по 5—7 человек. Для проверки и оценивания заданий выбирается жюри в составе 3—4 чело­век. Выполняя задания различных туров, команды за правильные ответы получают звездочки. Победителем игры считается та команда, которая набрала больше всех очков — звездочек.

• Good morning, dear children! I am glad to see you. I hope you are fine. Today we will play the game “Star Hour”. Our topic is “Home, Sweet Home”. There is no place like home. The English people say, “East or West, home is best”.

1 задание

I want you to listen to my stories. I shall describe different rooms. You can see the numbers of the rooms on the blackboard and you will use the cards with the numbers on your desks.

Учитель зачитывает небольшие рассказы — описание раз­личных комнат. Ученики, прослушав рассказ, поднимают таб­личку с номером — названием комнаты. Если ответ правильный, то команда получает звездочку.

Примерные рассказы:

1. You can see a desk, a computer, a chair, a bookcase and some shelves on the wall in this room. There are books and magazines on the shelves. You can read books, do your homework or write a letter in this room. Your parents can write a report, read important letters and work there. (A study.)

2. You can see a wardrobe there. There are beds in this room. People have a rest or sleep in this room. (A bedroom.)

3. We take a shower or have a bath in this room. You can clean your teeth, wash your hands and face there. (A bathroom.)

4. This room is not very large. People take off their overcoats, hats, boots or shoes there. There is usually a mirror and a little table there. (A hall.)

5. There is a TV set, a wall-unit, some chairs and a sofa in this room. Some people have a fireplace there. We can see some flowers on the walls. There is often a carpet on the floor. It is usually the largest room in the house. People watch television, listen to music, or sit around and speak there. (A living room.)

6. People can prepare breakfast, dinner or supper in this room. Women usually spend much time there. We have a fridge, a sink, a table, a cooker and a cupboard in this room. (A kitchen.)

7. Families get together for the meal in this room. They have breakfast, lunch, dinner or supper there. There are some chairs and a table in this room. (A dining-room.)

2 задание

Make up words using the following letters. You will have 2 minutes to do the task. If you have the longest word, you will get “a star”.

Учащимся предлагается следующее задание: составить слова из указанных букв. Время выполнения задания — 2 ми­нуты. Затем ученики зачитывают слова. Команда, обладатель самого длинного, слова получает звездочку.

4 задание

• Use the words and write down as many sentences as you can on the topic “Home, Sweet Home”. We will read your sentences in 4 minutes.

В течение 3 минут учащиеся записывают предложения с данными сло­вами на листочках бумаги, а затем сдают свои листочки на проверку жюри. Команда, составившая большее количество правильных предложений, получает звездочку.

You can see the pairs of words on the blackboard. Listen to the definitions and decide what thing I shall describe first and what the second thing is.

Учитель зачитывает определения различных слов по теме «Дом. Квартира». Каждый раз учитель представляет детям по 2 определения слов, которые записаны на доске по парам. Учащиеся должны внимательно прослушать тексты и под­нять таблички в той последовательности, в которой зачитал учитель. За каждый правильный вариант ответа команда полу­чает 1 звездочку.

Учитель предлагает командам за 3 минуты найти слова.

7 задание

Fit each of the words below into a word shape puzzle.

Учитель раздаёт детям листы, на которых в клеточках спрятаны буквы, составляющие слова. Клеточки разной формы. Форма клетки соответствует форме буквы.

Подведение итогов

Учитель называет победителя и организует награждение участников игры
