« The Smart Train”

6 класс

( на основе материала учебника Spotlight)

Цель игры:

Повышение интереса и мотивации к изучению предмета «Английский язык».

Задачи:

Образовательные задачи:

1. В ходе индивидуальной и групповой работы учащихся с помощью разнообразного арсенала дидактических материалов и наглядных пособий, применяя творческий подход, закрепить знания учащихся по изученным темам и расширить общий кругозор.

2. Обобщить знания обучающихся в области страноведения.

Развивающие задачи:

1. Развивать умение работать как самостоятельно, так и в коллективе и принимать решение;

2. Развивать положительные личностные качества (ответственность, доброжелательность, чувство взаимопомощи).

3. Развивать и тренировать внимание, память, мышление.

Воспитательные задачи:

1. Воспитывать уважение к культуре своей страны и стран изучаемого языка.

2. Воспитывать чувства уважения и толерантности друг к другу.

Сценарий. (Script)

Teacher:

Good day, children and our guests! I’m very happy to see you here. We are going to organize a quiz-competition which is called “ The Smart Train”. Three teams will take part in a game of the smartest students.  Today all of you have a good opportunity not only to show your knowledge but also to improve your English during the game. Now imagine that all of you are passengers of the train. During your travelling in this train you’ll have to do some stops. These stops mean stations where you have to do some tasks. The game has 6 stations. Well, I wish you success.

( The signal of the train after the teacher’s words)

Station 1:«Food».

Finish the sentences.

1) Пять часов уже почти… ждёт нас всех горячий ...(tea)

Station 2: Country studying

Station 3:“Proverbs and tongue twisters”

Students are given proverbs on mixed papers ( beginnings of the proverbs are separated from the endings and mixed). The winner is a team that is the quickest in matching all the proverbs .

Station 4: Grammar station

Correcting the mistakes ( Pay attention only at Present Simple and Present Continuous)

Students are given papers with the following sentences and each team have to correct the mistake.

2.He always eating apples when he visits his Grandma.

3.He is eats a big apple right now.

4.My little brother believe in Santa Claus.

5.They is going to the cinema tonight.

6.I works hard at school.

7.I always eat fish. I hate it.
