Мета: формувати лексичні навички учнів, практикувати учнів у читанні, аудіюванні, тренувати пам'ять, розвивати пізнавальний інтерес учнів, здатність до здогадки, розвивати зорову та слухову пам’ять, навички парної роботи, виховувати інтерес до життя та творчості Вільяма Шекспіра.

Обладнання: мультимедійна дошка, мультимедійна презентація, відеоресурс «William Shakespeare» від “British Council”, картки із завданнями.

Procedure

І.1) Greeting and Introduction

T.: This man once said: “All the world’s a stage, and all the men and women merely players.” You can see the mask of this man and an anagram of his name “MALILIW RAKESHAPEES”. Try to guess his name.

Answers of pupils.

T.: Yes, you are right. His name is William Shakespeare and we are going to speak about this great English writer.

2) Warming Up Activity. Shakespeare Mind Map.

T.: What comes to mind when you think of William Shakespeare? Write your ideas:

1. Memory Game.

T.: You can see some words on the board. Look at them just 1 minute and try to remember them: actor, theatre, play, musician, comedy, tragedy, history, poem, sonnet, poetry, audience, stage, happy, sad. The winner is the pupil who’ll remember and write down more words.
