Из опыта работы

• Из своего опыта работы учителем английского языка могу сказать с уверенностью, что только подлинный интерес и любовь к предмету помогают ученикам получить глубокие и всесторонние знания, которые они могут применить в своей жизни.
• Я работаю учителем английского языка в школе 24 года и считаю главным в моей работе – развитие творческих способностей учащихся, интереса к учению, формирование желания и умения учиться.

Внеклассная работа

• Много лет работала руководителем МО учителей иностранных языков, являлась организатором предметных недель, конкурсов и пришла к выводу, что внеклассная работа по предмету существенно повышает мотивацию учащихся к изучению английского языка, влияет на улучшение качества обучения. Подтверждением этого является желание детей активно участвовать в различных конкурсах, викторинах, олимпиадах и конференциях.

Неделя иностранных языков в школе

• Одной из самых продуктивных форм внеклассной работы считаю комплекс мероприятий под названием «Неделя иностранных языков в школе». Эта форма внеклассной работы является массовой, так как предусматривает участие в ней большого количества учащихся; разнообразной, так как включает ряд мероприятий, которые происходят в определенный период времени и направлены на реализацию задач комплексного подхода к воспитанию учеников, развитию их творческих способностей.

Одна команда получает карточку, на которой написан небольшой диалог. Команда разыгрывает диалог средствами пантомимы. Другая команда должна озвучить диалоги и сравнить с исходным диалогом.

He was one of the world's greatest writers. He was born in Stratford-upon-Avon, England, where he received classical education. The Stratford school was a difficult place at that time. School days were long and only on the holidays he could havе a real rest.

At the agе of eighteen he married Annе Hathaway and they had three children. When he was twenty-one he went to London. There he became an actor and began to write plays. He wrote plays for the famous Globe Theatre. Later he was one of the owners of the Globe Theatre.

He achieved great recognition during his life-time. He wrote three types of plays: histories, comedies and tragedies. He is one of the greatest writers of all times.

At twenty-one he published his first book of poems. A year later he wrote a book of short stories about India. The Flag of Wales

• Wales is not represented in the Union Flag because, when the first version of the flag appeared, Wales was already united with England.
• The national flag of Wales dates from the 15 th century and is widely used throughout the Principality.
• The dragon as a symbol was probably introduced in Britain by the Roman legions. According to the tradition, the red dragon appeared on a crest borne by the legendary King Arthur, whose father had seen the dragon in the sky predicting that he would be king.

The Flag of Scotland

According to the legend, in 832 A.D. King Óengus (II) (or King Angus) led the Picts and Scots in the battle against the Angles under a king named Athelstan near modern-day Athelstaneford in East Lothian.

King Angus and his men were surrounded and he prayed for deliverance. During the night Saint Andrew, who was martyred on a saltire cross, appeared to Angus and assured him of victory.

On the following morning a white saltire against the background of a blue sky appeared to both sides. The Picts and Scots were heartened by this, but the Angles lost confidence and were defeated.

This saltire design has been the Scottish flag ever since.

When James VI , King of Scots, inherited the thrones of England and Ireland and was crowned James I of England in 1603, the crowns of the Kingdom of England and the Kingdom of Scotland were united in a personal union through him. Despite this Union of the Crowns, each kingdom remained an independent state.

On 12 April 1606, a new flag to represent

this regal union between England and Scotland was specified in a royal decree, according to which the flag of England (also representing Wales by implication), (a red cross with a white background, known as St George's Cross), and the flag of Scotland

(known as Saint Andrew's Cross), would be joined together.

Saint Patrick's Cross

The antiquity of the association with Ireland and Saint Patrick has been questioned.

The cross was used in the regalia of the Order of Saint Patrick, established in 1783 as the premier chivalric order of the Kingdom of Ireland, and later in the arms and flags of a number of institutions. After the 1800 Act of Union joined Ireland with the Kingdom of Great Britain, the saltire was added to the British flag to form the Union Flag still used by the United Kingdom.

Saint Patrick's Cross was rejected by Irish nationalists as a British invention.

Then in the winter ( in the summer) of 1666 the Great Fire broke out. Most of the city was destroyed.

Now London is a big political, industrial and cultural centre. More than

1 million ( 8 million) people live there. London is situated оn the river Clyde (Thames). The river connects the capital with the sea.

London is divided into two parts ( four parts) . They are the City, the West End, the East End and Westminster. The West End is the richest part of the city with many beautiful shops, hotels, bars and restaurants. The East End is the place where the working people live. Westminster is the heart of business and commercial life ( the political centre). The City is the political centre ( the centre of business and commercial life).

Вывод:

предметная неделя способствует развитию познавательного интереса учащихся, стимулирует учеников к участию в мероприятиях, повышает интерес к изучению предмета, обеспечивает индивидуальный подход в условиях коллективной работы. «Неделя иностранных языков в школе» позволяет учителю развивать свои организаторские способности, творческий подход к работе, дает возможность для самореализации. Активное участие школьников в мероприятиях «Недели иностранных языков в школе» указывает на необходимость и целесообразность организации внеклассной работы по иностранному языку. Это способствует повышению мотивации к изучению предмета, а также имеет воспитательное и развивающее значение.
