We hear a lot about healthy and unhealthy foods, but are they true? Here are some common myths about food.
1. Milk is good for our bones.
Many people think that milk is the only way to have strong bones, but it's not true. Calcium is important for our bones, but we can get calcium from other foods too, such as spinach and oranges.
2. Fruit is always healthy.
Fruit is usually healthy because it has vitamins and fiber. But some fruit has a lot of sugar. For example, grapes and bananas have more sugar than other fruits like strawberries and apples.
3. Bananas are great for kid’s brain. They help in increasing ( увеличить) the concentration power. Bananas are mainly made up of fibre, they make a great source of energy, especially to start the day. Bananas have several nutrients, including fiber and vitamins, which make them a healthy fruit for babies, kids, teens, and adults.
4. All fast food is bad for us.
Fast food is often high in fat and calories, which can be bad for our health. But it's not always unhealthy. Some fast food restaurants now offer healthier options, such as salads and grilled chicken sandwiches. It's important to make smart choices when eating fast food.
5. Diet coke is better than regular coke.
Many people believe that drinking diet soda is a healthy choice because it doesn't have any calories. However, diet drinks contain artificial sweeteners (искусственные подсластители) which can be harmful to our health if we have them much. It's best to drink water or natural fruit juice instead.

6.Breakfast is the most important meal of the day.
Children need energy in the morning. They can have cereal with milk or bread and cheese. They can also have fruit juice.

7. Broccoli is one of the most useful vegetables for the body in general, as it contains a lot of nutrients important for health. With its high vitamin C content, broccoli can help boost (улучшить) the health of children's immune systems and protect them from infections and illnesses Strengthening bones and teeth: Broccoli is rich in vitamin K, which helps in supporting bone strength.  Broccoli can increase the energy levels in a child's body, which is important during the growing phase.

8. Cucumbers are useful for kids because they contain a great deal of water, which helps children stay hydrated. It also helps keep body temperature stable. They also contain calcium, iron(железо) and vitamin B.

9. Is it really good for children to eat a lot of shrimp, crab and fish? Shrimp, crab, fish are common seafood in life. They contain high levels of nutrients that are good for health and necessary for the development of young children. Fish is the largest natural food source of omega-3 fatty acids, which is key to healthy child brain development, and vitamin D, which helps build and develop young bones. It’s a great source of protein.

10. Apples are loaded with important vitamins and minerals to keep body healthy. A medium-sized apple contains 90-91 calories making it an ideal snack for children. Apples are rich in vitamin A, B1, B2 and C.
