Методическая разработка представляет собой комплект разноуровневых заданий для развития навыков чтения и говорения на английском языке. Материал разделен на три уровня сложности (от Elementary до Advanced) и включает тексты о путешествиях, сезонных видах отдыха, экотуризме и проблеме перетуризма. I ОБЩИЕ ПОЛОЖЕНИЯ

Данная методическая разработка предназначена для проведения серии уроков или факультативных занятий по английскому языку в 9 классе.

Основная цель – развитие навыков чтения и смыслового восприятия текста на основе лексической темы «Виды отдыха в различное время года. Путешествия по России и зарубежным странам».

Материал структурирован по трем уровням сложности (Elementary, Intermediate, Upper-Intermediate), что позволяет реализовать дифференцированный подход в обучении.

Задачи:

  • активизировать лексику по темам «Времена года», «Виды отдыха», «Путешествия»;

  • развивать умение понимать основное содержание и извлекать запрашиваемую информацию из аутентичных и учебных текстов;

  • учить выражать свое мнение и давать рекомендации по поводу путешествий.

II ОСНОВНАЯ ЧАСТЬ

УРОВЕНЬ 1: ELEMENTARY / PRE-INTERMEDIATE (БАЗОВЫЙ УРОВЕНЬ СЛОЖНОСТИ)

Текст 1.1: "My Summer at the Seaside"

Задание: прочитай текст и ответь на вопросы (полными предложениями).

Text: Last summer, I went to Turkey with my mother. It was my first time in another country and my first time seeing the sea. The weather was very hot and sunny. The sea was warm, clean, but very salty! I almost learned to swim. I saw small fish in the water. On the beach, there was a lot of sand and colorful stones. I brought some beautiful stones home as a souvenir of my summer. The hotel had a lot of tasty food and ice cream. In the evenings, there were concerts and shows. Next year, I would like to go to Greece.

Questions:

Текст 2.1: "Rainbow of Seasons"

Задание: прочитай текст и составь план (на английском языке), озаглавив каждый абзац.

Text: There are four seasons in a year, and each one offers unique ways to spend your free time. In spring, nature awakens. The air is fresh, and the first flowers appear. This is the perfect time for long walks in the park, cycling, and having picnics with friends to enjoy the mild weather.

Summer, my favorite season, brings warmth and long holidays. It's the ideal time for travelling. Many people go to the seaside to sunbathe and swim. Others prefer active holidays like hiking in the mountains or visiting new cities and countries. The days are long, so you can do a lot of things.

Autumn is beautiful with its colorful leaves. The weather is cool and crisp. It's a great season for cultural tourism. You can visit museums, art galleries, and theaters. Some people enjoy gathering mushrooms in the forest or just walking through the rustling leaves in a park.

Winter, despite the cold, is a time of joy. In Russia, winter is associated with snow, skiing, and skating. It's also the season of holidays like New Year and Christmas. Many families travel to winter resorts or go to festive markets in big cities like Moscow and St. Petersburg.

Text: People from different countries share their impressions of travelling in Russia.

Simon from England says: "My main reason to visit Russia was its unique culture and architecture. You will definitely find lots of things to do. However, living in Moscow is not cheap. Food and transport are more expensive there."

Laura from the USA adds: "While Moscow is busy, the villages are very quiet. Russian people are very hospitable and friendly."

Joan from Germany points out a problem: "English is not widely spoken, especially outside big cities. Without the language, it's difficult to travel. Also, some hotels are below European standards."

Hitomi from Japan disagrees: "Russia is definitely worth visiting! Moscow is a wonderful city, and where else can you see such beautiful landscapes?"

Information to use in your answer:

  • St. Petersburg has a lot of sights (museums, palaces, churches).

  • Two days is not enough to see everything.

  • Must-see places: Palace Square, the Winter Palace (Hermitage Museum), Nevsky Prospect.

  • Recommendation: Definitely visit the Hermitage, one of the biggest art museums in the world.

  • Weather in January: cold and snowy, so wear warm clothes.

Текст 3.1: "The Rise of Eco-Tourism"

Задание: Прочитай текст и кратко передай его содержание на английском (3-4 предложения), выразив свое отношение к данному виду отдыха.

In recent years, the tourism industry has witnessed a significant shift from mass-market beach holidays to more sustainable and responsible forms of travel, known as eco-tourism. This trend involves traveling to natural areas while conserving the environment and improving the well-being of local people. Instead of staying in large hotel complexes, eco-tourists choose small, locally-owned lodges. They participate in activities like wildlife observation, trekking in national parks, and learning about local cultures and traditions. For Russian travelers, destinations like Altai, Kamchatka, or Lake Baikal offer pristine nature and excellent opportunities for this type of holiday. Abroad, countries like Costa Rica and Iceland are pioneers in eco-tourism, offering volcanic landscapes, geysers, and unique biodiversity. The goal is not just to see the world, but to leave a positive impact on it.

  • Local Resident: You are frustrated. You can't sleep because of the noise at night. You have to walk through crowds just to get to work. All your favorite local shops have been replaced with souvenir stores.
