«Russia is my homeland»

Методическая разработка мероприятия на английском языке, посвященного дню России

«Россия – Родина моя» («Russia is my homeland»)

Цель: формирование у школьников патриотических чувств и любви к Родине и родному краю, чувство гордости за свой народ и уважение к его традициям, воспитание уважительного отношения к государственным символам России посредствам изучения английского языка.

Задачи:

Обучающие:

- расширить знания обучающихся об истории праздника «День России»

- рассказать обучающимся о людях, прославивших Родину на английском языке

- развить у обучающихся познавательный интерес к изучению английского языка

Развивающие:

- развивать и поддерживать познавательный интерес к истории России;

- способствовать развитию умений школьников в различных видах деятельности.

Воспитательные:

- воспитывать чувство гордости за Россию

- развить умение работать в коллективе и принимать совместное  решение

- развить положительные личностные качества

- воспитать уважение к культуре своей страны и стран изучаемого языка.

Оформление кабинета: на доске название игры «Russia is my homeland», правила игры, перечень конкурсов, раздаточный материал.

Ход мероприятия:

1. Организационный момент. Приветствие ведущего:

Teacher:

- Good afternoon, children and our guests! I’m very glad to see you here today! Tell me. Please, what holiday will be tomorrow?

- It’s good! So, today, I want you speak about our county and I want to organize a kind of competition, called « Russia is my homeland».

- So, It’s time to introduce yourselves. Who is the captain of the 1^st team?

P1: I’m the captain of the team. The name of our team is " ”. 

Teacher:

- Who is the captain of the 2^nd team?

P2: I’m the captain of the team. The name of our team is " ”. 

(Состав команд, их названия определяются заранее).

Teacher:

- Today all of you have a good chance to improve your English during the game. I have invited a competent jury to count the points. The members of our jury are …..

- Now I’m going to teach you how to play this game. The game has several contests, they are:

1. «Who is quicker?»

2. «Associations»

3. «А Scrambled word»

4. «A magic 5»

5. «Proverbs and sayings»

6. «А tongue-twister»

7. «Poems»

8. «The right choice»

9. «Inventions and discoveries»

- OK, But first of all, a warming up. «Who is quicker?». Your task is to guess the word quicker than others.

(Answers: Russia, red-blue – white, Vladimir Putin, on the 12 of June )

1. Teacher:

– Now, I want you to watch a short video and then let’s play the «Associations»

1. Teacher:

- And now you must guess a «Scrambled word». Who will be the first will be winner in this contest.

Разгадай слово. Каждая цифра соответствует порядковому номеру буквы в алфавите, например А-1, В-2 и т.д.

4. Teacher:

- And now we come to the contest which is called «A magic 5». Look at the square, each team will take turns in answering questions. You’ll choose any number.   Captains will have an opportunity to choose the number. (Капитан выбирает номер задания, и команда отвечает)  

You can get 5 points for the right answer.

1. Say the English and Russian alphabets.

2. Name 5 countries with which Russia shares borders

3. Name 5 sorts of vegetables that grow in Russia

4. Name 5 school subjects in Russian shcools

5. You’re lucky! You won a prize!

6. Name 5 sorts of fruit that grow in Russia

7. Name 5 wild animals that live in Russia

8. Name 5 birds that live in Russia

9. Name 5 sports that are popular in Rusia

10. Name 5 professions that are popular in Russia

11. Name 5 things that people wear in Russia

12. Name 5 domestic animals that live in Russia

Дети быстро и весело отвечают на вопросы, члены команды помогают друг другу, если вытягивается номер 5, команда просто получает 5 очков. 

1. Teacher:

• Our next contest is called «Proverbs and sayings». Each team will get a list of words. You should rearrange the words so as to make up a proverb. You have 2 minutes.

(Обе команды получают одинаковый набор слов, из которых должны получиться 3 английские пословицы).

(Ответы: East or West - home is best. A man without a Motherland is like a Nightingale without a song. The wider we roam, the welcomer home )

6. Teacher:

- The following task is for the rest . I need 1 pupil from each team. You should read the tongue-twister as quickly as you can 3 times.

a.      Put your head on your bed.

b.      Run round the playground.

7.Teacher:

- The next contest is called «Poems». Each team must say in turn English poems or songs, which they know. Who will be the first? Who will say more will be the winner in this contest. «Стихи» - каждая командадолжна рассказать русское стихотворение на английском языке

8.Teacher: 

- The next contest is called «The right choice». It’s very important to make the right choice in our life: the right choice of a color, a hobby, a friend. Each team should answer my questions. You’ll get the cards with the letters a, b, c. Choose the right answer and show us the card.

2. The capital of Russia is a) London b) Paris c) Moscow.

3. Moscow stands a) the Volga b) the Mississippi c) the Moskva river.

Each team can get 1 point for the right answer.

9.Teacher:

-  One more contest. It’s called «Inventions and discoveries». You should answer my questions. The team which answers  the first and correctly wins.

You can get 1 point for each right answer.

III.             Заключительный этап. Подведение итогов игры.
