My daily routine
On weekdays the alarm clock wakes me up and my working day begins. It is seven o`clock. If it is spring or summer I jump out of bed, run to the window and open it wide to let the fresh morning air in. the bright sun and the singing of birds set me into a cheerful working mood. In winter I am not so quick to leave my bed and bury my head under the pillow pretending not to hear the alarm clock. But all the same, it is time to get up and I start getting ready for my work.
I do my bed and go to the bathroom where I turn on the hot and cold taps. While the water is running into the bath, I clean (brush) my teeth. Then I turn off the taps and have my bath. Sometimes I have a shower. Then I make my bed, iron the dress I want to put on, clean my shoes and dress. I go to the kitchen and make the breakfast for my daughter and my husband. Usually it is tea, bread, butter, cheese, and sometimes eggs. While I am having breakfast, I switch on the radio and listen to the news.
Breakfast, as doctors say, must be the most substantial meal of the day. But I have neither time nor inclination to cook it, so I just have a cup of coffee and some sandwiches.
We leave the house at ten minutes to eight. I take my daughter to a kindergarten. As I live quite near the station I like to walk there in any weather. My train to town leaves at 8.10. I arrive in town at a quarter to nine. On my way to the office I often meet my and colleagues and we go on together talking shop.
My working day starts at 9 sharp, I work till half past twelve and then I go out for dinner in a self-service canteen that is just round the corner. It does not take long to have my midday meal. I return to my office at half past one and work steadily till six. During my working hours I have not spare moment.
I go home at six o`clock and on the way I take the daughter from the kindergarten. We arrive home at seven o`clock in the evening. In the evening I have supper with my family.
At nine o`clock my daughter goes to bed. She sleeps soundly all night. Then I have a free time, I read books or watch TV. I usually go to bed at 11 p.m. or so.
As for the weekends, I spend them in different ways: I meet my friends, go to the cinema or to the theatre, go for a walk with my husband and daughter, or stay at home and read something or watch TV. The only thing I do every weekend: I go to the gym.
I agree that the healthy life is an absolute trend of our days. A lot of people keep a diet, go to the gym and do fitness. Every day someone buys a season ticket to the fitness club. Fitness is one of the best ways to keep fit, lose weight and develop strength.
The fitness center can offer all kinds of trainings. As a rule there are the halls with the training devices and the halls for the group trainings. You can do a lot of different activities in the fitness center, for example, you can run on a treadmill, lift weights, do abs. A lot of women prefer to attend group trainings such as aerobics, pilates and hot yoga. A trainer is an important person in the gym. He gives the advice about the exercises, makes a training plan and helps to get in shape.
I go to the fitness center too. It is near my house. I work out twice a week. I start training with a warming up activities. My trainer says that it is very important to prepare the muscles before the training. The important part of my training is stretching. It helps me to relax after the burning calories on the treadmill. Also there is a fitness bar in our gym. There people can drink the protein shakes, have a healthy snack after or before the training.
If someone has no opportunity to go to the fitness club, he can do fitness at home. There are a lot of home fitness training programs and video lessons in the internet, it is easy to choose the best program for you and do sport.
I like to read the articles about fitness, healthy life style and the interviews of the different sportsmen. It motivates me very much. I really like to go to the gym and do fitness. There I can keep fit and communicate with the friends with the same interests.
