Knowledge of the language for full communication with residents of another state is not enough. Speech etiquette creates its own order of dialogue in different countries of the world. National traditions and peculiarities of speech etiquette may cause difficulties in establishing friendly contact. To understand a person, you need to get acquainted with the culture of their country.

The national specifics of speech etiquette formulas are affected by the conditions in which people lived, the history of the country, and the resulting mentality. The concepts of good, prosperity, success, and security will differ from one culture to another. The representative of each country gives its own meaning to the actions and words themselves.

Consider a few of the countries:

  6. Australia.

No matter what kind of relationship people are in, a lot of compliments and smiles are always used when meeting. Even if they show disapproval, the people of England can not do without etiquette addresses like "Dear Sir".

A British feature of speech etiquette is the concept of negative politeness. The most courteous, correct phrases unpleasant interlocutor Englishman can simply destroy. To offend, the British do not need to drop dignity by using obscenities. Formally, all the canons of etiquette will be observed. Enough subtle hints and incomparable English humor.

  1. South Korea

The culture of the state was influenced by the philosophy of Confucianism. Communication between South Koreans takes place according to the rules of the hierarchy. When talking, it is very important to take into account the status of the interlocutor. Speech etiquette has a clear division into familiar, respectful, and official forms. You can't use expressions that are accepted for friends at work.
Koreans avoid direct denials. To politely refuse, the most evasive phrases are selected. The country's language etiquette has different conversational styles for each age, status, and situation. Koreans avoid calling people second-person pronouns. Addresses by name or wording depend on the subtleties of the relationship and the social status of the interlocutors. Greetings are often covered with a polite bow.Tactile contact etiquette is not accepted categorically. Calling a person over or pointing a finger at a person is a serious insult

  1. Deutschland

Germans in the world and in different countries are known for their serious attitude to compliance with instructions, installations, which affects the features of speech etiquette. In Germany, the address by last name is accepted. Only close friends are called by their first name. For women, the traditional form is "Frau", for men"Herr". Answering a phone call, the German will say his last name without further ADO, so that the interlocutor will understand who to contact.

  1. France

The subtleties of speech etiquette in different peoples depend on everyday habits and preferences, national characteristics. In France, refined politeness is combined with emotionality and freedom of thought. An interesting feature of the French when conducting negotiations is the habit of interrupting the interlocutor, without hesitation inserting their own statements. This is how they show interest when discussing important issues.Official address to a woman "Madame" regardless of marital status. The word "Mademoiselle" is now practically superseded. The French don't like it when the other person uses foreign expressions. In matters of preserving the purity of the language, they are a bit nationalist.

  1. United Arab Emirates

The etiquette of the Arab Emirates is distinguished by a truly Oriental subtlety in addressing the interlocutor, greeting gestures. "Mistress" or "master"applies to strangers. Respected people are called "venerable", and close ones are called "friends". The women greet each other with a slight tilt of their heads. In business negotiations, patience is important to maintain lengthy dialogues about business, family, health, and well-being at the beginning of the dialogue. It is not considered impolite to talk about money.

  1. Australia

Australian speech etiquette is similar to English in many ways, due to the historical features of the country. The language itself has undergone some changes over the centuries. In everyday speech, residents swallow words, connect them together, shorten them.
