International Day of English. Международный день английского языка. (внеклассное мероприятие в 6,7 классах)

Цель: развивать интерес к изучению английского языка; воспитывать интерес к английскому языку и культуре англоговорящих стран; воспитывать интерес к английской музыке и песне; учить детей петь на английском языке;

Ход мероприятия:

P1 : Good afternoon dear students and guests ! Glad to see you here!

P2: Welcome to our party which is devoted to the international Day of English language. It is celebrated on April , 23.

P1: 23 of April is the birthday of the famous English writer W. Shakespeare. He wrote many poems, sonnets , plays, they are very popular nowdays too.

P2 : Today English is the language of the world. It has become a world language. . In Shakespeare's time it was a «provincial» language of secondary importance with only 6 million native speakers.

P1 : Nowadays over 300 million people speak it as a mother tongue. English is the official language of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, of the United States of America, of Australia and New Zealand..

P2: . English is the major international language of communication in such areas as science, technology and business. It is the language of literature, education, modem music, and international tourism.

P1: . English is the major language of diplomacy, it is one of the official languages of the United Nation organization and other political organizations.

P2: Now . lets travel to the United Kingdom to get more information about this wonderful country.
