Good morning, guys! How are you today? I’m fine today too. I’m very glad to see you. Sit down please

I`d like to begin our lesson with listening to these sounds.


Listen to them attentively and be ready to answer what you heard.

Where are you? What do you hear?

We hear the sounds of forest and sea. We hear the birds singing, waves, seagulls. Do you like to be in the forest and at the sea? Do you like to listen to birds singing? Do you like to watch animals?

As you see, the forest/sea are habitats for animals. It’s their home. And our home is our planet. But nowadays it has a lot of problems and people understand how important it is to solve them.

So, what are we going to speak about? The Planet Earth.

What do you see here? It is a lifeless place without animals and birds. Would you like to change it? It is necessary to plant trees here. You can do it. For each your good answer you`ll get an imaginable tree and we`ll see who will be the best eco-helper in our group.

In the Planet Earth Museum we`ll come across with some words. What are they?

Is this man friendly to the environment? Of course. He is not friendly. But what does it mean to be friendly and what do we have to do to be friendly to the environment? Express your opinion. Use this table.

A lot of people all over the world are worried about the Earth. Among them there are many famous people. One of them is M. Jackson. He loved nature and sings about the Earth’s problems in his songs. Now we are going to listen to one of his hits – THE EARTH SONG. Here are the words of the song, but some of the words are missed. While listening to the song you should put the right word to complete the song. Look at the board. Letёs read them. Do you know the translation?

Now, listen to one of his hits. Let`s check it up. Look at the board.

The Planet Earth is a green world, where people respect nature and live healthy life, isn`t it? Look through our Planet Earth Story. There are some difficult words for you there. E.g. pesticides. It is an international word, like Russian word. Are there any words like Russian here? Repeat after me. What does it mean “fuel”, “absorb”….repeat after me.

Find in the text the words that have similar meanings to these ones.

Why do we need different environments? To answer this question you should circle the correct answer. (2 чел. у доски)

You know that we damage our nature a lot. How are we damaging the different environments? Find the mistake, underline it and write the correct word. (1 человек у доски, остальные на карточках) if it is very difficult you may use the text.

I hope you know our story perfect and you`ll cope with describing these pictures.

Describe the pictures using sentences from the text.

And now, I want you to do it without texts. There are some words on the board, they`ll help you.

I think you are tired a bit discussing problems of environment. Let`s have a rest.

Boys, can we change the situation, connecting with pollution, ice melting, throwing away trees, dying of jellyfish?

Look at the board. I`d like 2 students to read this dialogue. Pay attention to Pr.Perfect Continuous.

Now, you are to make your own dialogues. Look through the task a bit and fill it in.

Today we were at the Planet Earth Museum. We saw different pictures. It`s not an end of our trip. I want to divide you into 3 teams. You are to make up your own poster. Each team can choose some pictures or all of them to stick them on the poster. You should make notes to the pictures. Think of your motto (девиз). You may use expressions on the board then one of you will present us your poster.

Today we worked a lot to plant our forest. Look at the board. now there are a lot of trees there due to your answers. But who is the best eco-helper. How many trees do you have? Count them!
