«Древние чудеса света»
Цели урока.
совершенствовать умения и навыки устной речи,
развивать коммуникативные способности обучающихся,
изучать шедевры мирового искусства, созданные в различные художественно-исторические эпохи,
формировать представление об использование английского языка в области истории и культуры,
повторить и закрепить лексический материал по теме урока.
Задачи урока.
Обучающие:
тренировать лексические и грамматические навыки,
совершенствовать навыки аудирования,
практиковаться в монологической и диалогической речи;
Развивающие:
расширять кругозор обучающихся,
совершенствовать эстетический вкус;
развивать умение творчески использовать усвоенный материал в новых ситуациях;
развивать интеллектуальные способности обучающихся,
формировать готовность к коммуникации в изучении иностранного языка, накапливать и совершенствовать опыт работы над подготовкой презентаций.
Воспитательные:
воспитывать умение взаимодействовать в группе.
формировать у обучающихся мировоззрение открытого информационного общества, формировать отношение к иностранному языку как к источнику получения информации и средству межкультурного общения .

1. Организация урока: приветствие, сообщение темы и плана урока.
T: Good morning students! Today we are having a lesson on the topic, which you are going to guess about after watching a short episode.
So, what do you think we are going to speak about at our lesson?
Yes, you are right about wonders of the world. I know that you’ve already learnt something about it, so we will revise it again and widen our knowledge about it. I hope our lesson will be interesting and usеful.
The planet we live on is full of wonders. We are going to talk about ancient, wonders .
Warming up.
T. We will start our lesson with an explanation the word “wonder”
Let’s find out what the word “wonder “means?
(The possible answer: It is a feeling of amazement and admiration, caused by something beautiful, remarkable, or unfamiliar. Or : It is a person or thing regarded as very good, remarkable, or effective:
T. What makes a wonder a wonder?
(The possible answer:
And now let’s discuss on two types of ancient, wonders.
Look, to the right there are two wallpapers on the wall: “7 ancient wonders of the world “and “New 7 wonders of the world”. Why are they called ancient wonders and new wonders?
(The possible answer: They are called ancient wonders because they haven’t survived to present days. They are called new wonders because they have survived to present days.)
T: Why were only 7 masterpieces considered as wonders? Why not 5 or 6?
(The possible answer: The number 7 was chosen because the Greeks believed it to be the symbol of perfection and plenty. This number means “wisdom” and brings happiness).

T: What else do you know about the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World?
P:The Seven Wonders of the Ancient World is a listing of notable objects built between 3000 BC and AD 476.
P:The practice of the seven wonders probably began in Ancient Greece.
P Through the years, many lists have been made, but all the lists of ancient wonders included only objects MADE BY MAN and considered special because of their GREAT SIZE.

According this plan tell us about the most interesting wonders from your point of view. As you tell us about these places, use the adjectives from the list below.

T: You know, we live in the largest country in the world. And, it goes without saying, there are also many wonders in Russia. All of them are created by man. And I would like to show a very short film about Russia.
The question will be. What ancient architectural wonders are mentioned in the film?
