B;to create an English atmosphere.

2.The description of the new lesson;

Activity1.Listen and repeat

Objective; to introduce the unit topic; to warm up.

Ask the pupils to listen to the song and say what this song is about. Play the DVD.

Play the DVD again and ask them to repeat the song.

Activity2 a.Look and answer the questions

Objective;to revise the vocabulary about seasons.

Activity2b.Read and match with pictures.

Objectives; to prepare for the next activity.

Ask the pupils to match the texts and pictures. Don’t say them the answers.This activity can also be done in the DVD.Answer key;1c; 2b; 3a; 4d;

e.g The sun shunes a lot.The days are sunny and hot. It does not rain. I can eat ice cream and swim in the river. The water in the river is warm.The answer is summer.

Activity2c. Listen and check.

Objective; to practice listening for specific information.

Activity3a.Work in pairs. Look, copy and complete.

Objectives; to practice writing words and phrases.

Divide

the class into pairs. Ask them to complete the word-flowers together with the words and phrases they know.

flower-show.

Activity3b. Work in groups.Make sentences and talk about the seasons.

yellow, red, green, blue, pink,

Objective;to provide with freer practice.

Divide the class into groups of four. Each pupil says sentences about one season.

e.g It’s spring. It’s warm.In spring the trees are green. We have clean yards.On the farms there are baby animals. I can play…

It is summer. It is hot. I can swim. I do not go to school.

It is autumn. It is cool. The leaves are yellow.

It is winter. It is cold.I can play snowball.

Activity6

Homework.

1.Look and complete the two other flowers in activity6.

2.Write about your mother's or your father's favourite season-but don't write the season.

e.g. It is hot. We can swim and sunbathe.

Ask the pupils to look at the homework on page116.Check that everybody understands what to do with the2 tasks.
