Unit 3 "Mass Media"(СМИ)
Урок по теме: «Книги- как важная часть СМИ.
Цели урока:
1. Пополнение лексического запаса учащихся и закрепление навыков использования изученной лексики по теме «Mass Media» в речи;
2. Активизация лексических навыков и навыков аудирования;
3. Развитие познавательного интереса, логического мышления, усиление познавательной мотивации осознанием ученика своей значимости в образовательном процессе.
Задачи урока:
1. Дальнейшая тренировка и закрепление лексики по теме «Mass Media»;
2. Дальнейшая тренировка навыков аудирования;
3. Практиковать учащихся в чтении.
Оборудование: компьютер, проектор, презентация, раздаточный материал, доска.
1. Организационный момент.
T.: Good morning, boys and girls. I`m glad to see you.
How are you? That`s great!
So, let`s begin. The theme of our lesson is "Mass media. Are books Media, too?". And last lesson we started it. And today we continue.
As you know, the mass media, particularly books play an important role in our life because they are our teachers and advisers. They teach us how to take the next step when we are in a difficult situation. They help to shape our life.
Today we`ll speak about different kinds of books and well-known writers, you`ll get a lot of interesting information about famous writers.

T.: First let's review the words on our topic "Mass Media". Look at the blackboard/screen

Now, children, explain what words «encyclopedia», «the Bible», « dictionary», «handbook» means.
3. Речевая разминка.
T.: And what kinds of mass media do you know?
Student: I know : newspaper, television, radio, the Internet, tabloid.
T.: Right you are. Which of the mass media is your favourite? Give your reasons.
Student: My favourite media is radio. I'm fond of listening to music on the radio.
Student : I read a lot of newspapers and magazines. I like reading newspapers as I can always find some interesting and useful information. That’s why it is my favourite media.
Student: I can't live without the Internet and I spend much time on different sites.
Student: My favourite media is television . I can watch television for many hours a day.
T.: Which television programme do you like best?
Student: I like « In the world of animals». I have an opportunity to watch different animals staying at home.
T.: Which media is the most popular in your family?
Student: Television is the most popular in my family.
T.: Who in your family watches TV more than others? And why?
Student: I think my grandfather watches TV more than others. He is a pensioner and has a lot of free time.
T.: Thanks for your opinion.
