Тип урока: Систематизация и обобщение знаний учащихся по теме: «Спорт».
Задачи :
Развивать логическое мышление, умение анализировать и сравнивать.
Развивать речь учащихся, умение высказывать своё мнение, доказывать его, делать выводы после выступления.
Систематизировать знания учащихся по теме «Спорт».
Воспитывать чувство гордости за достижения спортсменов своей страны.
Расширять знания детей о значимости спорта в жизни человека.

Текст для чтения (приложение № 1).
Текст для аудирования (приложение № 2).

Видеоролик.Постеры, подготовленные учащимися к уроку.
I. Greeting.
Good morning, girls and boys! How are you? Today is a nice day, isn’t it?
I think, you are in a good mood, am I right?
II. Lexical drill.
You have known so much about the history of the Olympic Games and its program. Do remember the spelling of some events? Please, put down the words on the blackboard. | | S tudents write in one column : Tennis, Football, Judo, Weightlifting, Cycling, Athletics, Boxing, Chess, Fencing. |
Which of these sports are popular in Russia from the ancient time? | | Students : Chess, Weightlifting. |
We have learnt about sports in Russia and one of you had to make a poster. Please, present your work. | | Student 1 : poster “Sport in Tatarstan from the ancient time” |
Look at the blackboard again. Can you add the names of sportsmen, who are the best in these sports? Maybe, you know some famous Russia sportsmen. | | Students write the words one by one. |

III. Reading and Listening.

BOB: Sport is an important part of my life. I like to take part in sports competitions. I playin our school basketball team. I think that it helps me in different ways. First of all sport builds character. It teaches to win or lose. It makes you strong, fast and patient. More than that it makes men out of boys and women out of girls. Besides it teaches you about life. And it is a good way to meet people, even from other countries. But for it you must be a good sportsmen.
Mrs. BROWN : I can’t say that sport is very useful. It takes a lot of energy and time. Children often have no time for doing things that teenagers like doing. Sport needs only to work, work and work hard. As a result they have broken legs and arms and other injuries. There is no good in sport, it’s necessary only to be fit. And for it there are PT lessons at school.

№ 2. Texts for listening.
I’d rather watch sports competitions. I can’t stand those silly contests at school. To be a good sportsman doesn’t suit everyone. Many people simply like to support their favourites. What are the competitions for? Since early times they have been held to entertain people. And if everybody takes part in competitions who will have fun? And I think that it is much better to watch sports programmes on TV. You needn’t go to a cold wet stadium, buy tickets. You can sit in a comfortable armchair and enjoy yourself.
