Их не используют в Present/Past Continuous: - like, love, hate — чувства - know, understand, believe, think (в значении «полагать») — мысли - see, hear, smell, taste — восприятие have (в значении «иметь»), own, belong — принадлежность ⚠️ Исключение: - think = «думать (мыслительный процесс)» → можно в Continuous: I’m thinking about my costume. - have = «проводить (время/мероприятие)» → можно в Continuous: They are having a Halloween party. ✅ Правильно: ❌ Неправильно: - I like Halloween. - I am liking Halloween. - She knows the story. - She is knowing the story. - They have costumes. - They are having costumes. (если «иметь»)

Глаголы состояния (stative verbs) описывают чувства, мысли, отношения, восприятие. Их не используют в Present/Past Continuous:

- like, love, hate — чувства

- know, understand, believe, think (в значении «полагать») — мысли

- see, hear, smell, taste — восприятие

  • have (в значении «иметь»), own, belong — принадлежность

⚠️ Исключение:

- think = «думать (мыслительный процесс)» → можно в Continuous: I’m thinking about my costume.

- have = «проводить (время/мероприятие)» → можно в Continuous: They are having a Halloween party.

- I am liking Halloween.

- She knows the story.

- They are having costumes. (если «иметь»)

Past Progressive (Past Continuous) Используется, чтобы описать действие, которое происходило в определённый момент в прошлом. Формула: «was/were + V-ing » Примеры: •  At 7 p.m. last Halloween, Mia was putting on her costume. •  While the children were trick-or-treating, it started to rain. •  I was watching a horror film when the lights went out. Past Progressive (Past Continuous)
