Victory Day  Victory Day is one of the most significant holidays in our country. On this day, we remember those who gave their lives for our Motherland during the Great Patriotic War.  Cities, towns, villages are decorated with flags and flowers. Radio and television broadcast popular war films, songs. A great military parade takes place in Moscow. People see tanks, military machines crossing Red Square. A lot of guests from different countries of the world come to Moscow to participate in the celebrations.   On Victory Day students of schools congratulate veterans. Also they lay flowers at memorials and monuments.   People light fireworks in the evening.

Constitution Day The Constitution of the Russian Federation was adopted on the 12 th  of December, 1993. The new Constitution came into force on the 25 th  of December, 1993, when it was officially published. The adoption of the 1993 Constitution marked the beginning of a new era in the history of the Russian Federation.  The Constitution forms the country’s legal foundation, proclaims the President of the Russian Federation the head of state and lays upon him the responsibility for defending the Constitution, human rights and civil liberties, safeguarding Russia’s sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity.
