Тема: Канберра – столица Австралии.

Место урока:

Тип урока: комбинированный

Вид урока: традиционный

Формы работы: индивидуальная, парная, фронтальная.

Используемые методы: коммуникативный метод, иллюстративно-наглядный, словесный, метод креативного мышления, метод использования ИКТ, аудиовизуальный и аудиолингвальный метод.

Цель урока: совершенствование навыков чтения с извлечением основной информации.

Задачи урока:

Образовательные: расширить лингвистический кругозор учащихся, расширить знания в области географии по теме Австралия;

Практические: способствовать совершенствованию техники чтения, навыков восприятия и понимания речи на слух, создать условия для повторения способов выражения будущего времени и тренировки употребления данных структур в речи;

Развивающие: способствовать развитию способности к пониманию и осмыслению главных фактов текста, развивать умения систематизировать новые знания и на их основе развивать навыки восприятия и понимания речи на слух, развивать фонематический слух, внимание, мышление;

Воспитательные: формирование интереса к чтению литературы на ИЯ, мотивации изучения иностранных языков.

Оборудование: компьютер, колонки, интерактивная доска, доска.

Дидактическое оснащение: план урока, иллюстрации, презентация, аудио- и видеозаписи, учебное пособие для 7 класса Юхнель Н. В., Наумова Е. Г., Демченко Н. В.,, рабочая тетрадь для 7 класса.

Ход урока:

I.Организационно-мотивационный этап:

1. Приветствие учителя и организационный момент (мин.):

Teacher (T): Good afternoon, boys and girls.

Pupils (P): Good afternoon, teacher. We are glad to see you.

Teacher (T): I am glad to see you too. Sit down, please.

2. Сообщение задач урока:

T: Today we are going to speak about the most mysterious country of the world. I suppose while listening to the song you’ll guess what country we’ll visit. (Учащиеся прослушивают начало песни и отгадывают название страны).

P: It is Australia.

T: Yes, you are right. Today we will speak with you about its capital. At the lesson we will read the article, discuss it and we will revise a grammar rule about future actions.

II.Операционно – познавательный этап:

1. Warming – up activity (мин.).

T:-What interesting facts do you know about Australia?

-Do you know any exotic animals in Australia?

-Have you ever been to Australia?

-Would you like to go to Australia?

-What city is the capital of Australia: Melbourne, Canberra or Sydney?

2. Reading (мин.).

a) A pre-reading activity.

T: Canberra is the capital of Australia. What do you think “Canberra” means in the local language? Is it…

a) a friendly place?

b) a lovely place?

c) a meeting place?

d) a public place?

T: Open your books. And now check your predictions looking through the text quickly (Ex. 2a, p. 192).

b) A reading activity.

T: Now let’s read the article carefully and say if the statements are true or false (Ex. 2b, p. 193). But first look at the words from the article, read them, pronounce correctly and translate (Ex. 2a, p. 192).

government [ `gΛvnmənt] – правительство(the group of people who take care of different aspects of people’s lives – education, sport, building, etc.);

parliament [ `pα:lәmənt] – парламент (in some countries, the group of elected politicians or other people who make the law for their country);

an architect [`α:kitekt] – архитектор;

Melbourne [`melbən] – Мельбурн (один из крупнейших городов Австралии).

c) A post-reading activity.

T: Read the information about national buildings in the boxes (Ex. 2c, p.193).

4. Grammar revision:

T: Mr. Rambler is asking about the details of a Hop-on hop-off Bus Tour of Canberra. Listen to their conversation and fill in the missing information (Ex. 3a, p. 194).

T: Now let’s read the dialogue and check your answers.

T: Explain the use of grammar in the underlined sentences (Ex 3b, p. 195).

T: Do the exercise and choose the best tense (Learning Apps. Org).
