The Theme: Professions
The Aims: Learning new words, make sentences using Present Perfect Continuous.
Check up words. (pupils stand in the round and take a card with a word, they must translate them, then answer the question about Present Perfect ) (make pairs weak and strong)
Warming up: Watch the video and guess about the theme of the lesson.
(Song “People Song Professions”)
Then in one minute write the professions which they know, in pairs on the stickers of the different colors, check up.
Activity I: Learning the new words, watch the video and repeat after it.
Then write down the new words:
1 professions 2 astronaut 3 banker 4 nurse 5 hairdresser 6 designer 7 manager
8 secretary 9 programmer 10 builder 11 miner 12 soldier 13 sportsman 14 writer
Activity II: Speaking.
In one minute pupils move to ask and answer the question “What do you want to be?”
then in turn tell about each other.
Activity III: Writing.
Complete the sentences with professions.
1 Tom works in the company. He is a ….
2 My sister likes to help people. She is a ….
3 My little brother likes to build houses. He will be a ….
4 I like money. I want to be ….
5 My uncle spends a lot of time with his computer, because he is a ….
Activity IV: Grammar- Present Perfect Continuous
Watch the video, write down the grammar rule. Make conclusions, in turn.
Then translate the sentences, using The Present Perfect Continuous Tense
1 Мой папа работает программистом в течение 15 лет.
2 Моя тетя работает парикмахером в течение 2 лет.
3 Мой брат работает строителем с 2012 года.
4 Мой дядя работает шахтером в течение 20 лет.
5 Моя мама работает няней с 2010 года.
