THEME: “Extreme”

Purpose of the Lesson: to analyze the advantages and disadvantages of extreme sports, to practice speaking, listening, and writing skills that require logic and critical thinking through exercises, dialogue, and an exploratory talk.

Anticipated Result: by the end of this lesson, students will identify the advantages and disadvantages of extreme sports.

As you may have guessed, today we are going to discuss extreme sport. You will work in groups. One of the groups will speak about the advantages of extreme sports and the other group will speak about disadvantages of extreme sports. You have some minutes to discuss. I want you to listen to everyone’s opinion on this issue.

Pupils will have an exploratory talk, and they will discuss their theme together. They will work in groups, they will search for the necessary words and information in their dictionaries or on the internet and try to use new words in their speech, then one of them will speak about their decisions

To keep a favorable psychological climate we shall play a game ”Guess what it is”. One person from each group will

give us different instructions. Imagine you do an extreme sport, but don’t tell its name, you can do it with gestures or explain.

The fifth line- synonym 1
