Подготовка к ЕГЭ по английскому языку в 2023 году может вызывать трудности у некоторых педагогов и обучающихся, этот материал будет способствовать облегчению этой задачи. Данная работа содержит образец написания задания № 38.1 из раздела 4 Письмо.

38.1. Imagine that you are doing a project on what book genres are popular among teenagers in Zetland. You have found some data on the subject – the results of the opinion polls (see the table below). Comment on the data in the table and give your opinion on the subject of the project.

Write 200–250 words.

Use the following plan:

– make an opening statement on the subject of the project;

– select and report 2–3 facts;

– make 1–2 comparisons where relevant and give your comments;

– outline a problem that can arise with having a rest and suggest a way of solving it;

– conclude by giving and explaining your opinion on the importance of relaxing well in our lives.

What book genres are popular among teenagers

Aim.

This report will analyse the results of a survey among teenagers on popular book genres and make recommendations based on the findings.

Main features.

Young people were asked about popular book genres. It was found out that they enjoy reading different kinds of books. The topline results can be seen in this table, which shows approximately 55% of teens prefer adventure books and detectives. Sport stories is the second most demanded option (49,2 %), with Animal stories in the third place (27,2%).

Similarities and differences.

With this in mind, Adventure and Detective Stories are significantly the most widespread. Then, there is a gradual decrease at 49,2% with Sport stories and Animal stories at 27,2%, but the least common is Romance.

Problems and recommendations.

Such comparison gives an idea that a great amount of young people might possibly have some problems due to lack of reading. In fact, they may have troubles at school. For this reason teenagers could study worse. It happens so, because when you read less you know less. Taking all the points into consideration, it would be advisable for youngsters to visit city libraries more often or read more books at home.

Conclusion.

To sum up, I want to say that the importance of reading is significant not only among teenagers, but also in the life of each person. I believe reading helps people to improve their imagination and make decisions.
