According to employment experts and economists, there are some popular career choices that will have more opportunities available in the future. These popular career choices include careers in information technology, health care, law, business and entrepreneurship. Within these industries, there are a deluge of different opportunities for career seekers.

The health care industry is a fast-growing sector with many opportunities available to those who would like to take care of sick people in some way. Opportunities are widespread, from being a doctor to being a certified nursing assistant (CNA). Jobs include being a cardiologist, registered nurse, hospital administrator and medical researcher.

There is always a need for business professionals in an industrialized nation. Accountants, managers, entrepreneurs and salespeople are just a few of the opportunities available in the business world. If you like being a part of the distribution and marketing of goods and services, business is a good place to begin exploring career options. Starting your own business can be rewarding, but also challenging. A person can technically start a business with no education, but it is wise to get at least a master of business administration (MBA) to get the necessary skills to make the business a profitable venture.

The history of film began in the late 1880s with the invention of the first movie camera. Initially films were mostly shown as a novelty in special venues. The first film were brought by travelling projectionists and shown in tent theatres, which they took around the fairs in country towns. The first theatre showing only films was “The Nickelodeon”, which was opened in Pittsburgh in 1905. The first films had no sound, no colour and were very short: they lasted from 60 to 90 seconds. Gradually films became longer. In 1903 Edwin Porter, an early American film pioneer, made a 12-minute film “The Great Train Robbery”.

In 1911 the first studio was opened in Hollywood, Los Angeles. The first feature film made specifically in a Hollywood studio, in 1914, was “The Squaw Man”. By 1920, Hollywood had become world-famous as the centre of the United States film industry. Four major film companies – Paramount, Warner Bros., RKO and Columbia – had studios in Hollywood, as did several minor companies and rental studios.

Initially, there were technical difficulties in synchronizing images with sound and films were silent. Silent films were usually accompanied by live musicians, actors or commentary spoken by the show-man or projectionist.
