Задание 1. Phonetics.

Record 5 rhymes or phrases with the subtle English humour.

E.g. A sailor went to sea

Was the deep blue sea. To go to sea= to work on a ship; to go to the sea=to go to the seashore

Task 2. Paraphrase using negative prefixes and suffixes:

Task 1. Make corrections of the text:

“1.We interrupt our usual schedule to bring you important news.

2. We are receiving information about a spaceship that has landed outside the White House.

3. The large ship seems to be made of glass.

4. Reporters say that a short time ago aliens came out of the craft.

5. Eye-witnesses described them as short and said their clothes were made of metal and their hair was bright green.

6. Strangely, one of them appeared to be wearing jeans.

7. Many people said that they seemed to be friendly.

8. The President is currently holding a meeting with the visitors in the hope that we can exchange knowledge.

9. Police advice is to stay indoors and under no circumstances approach the spaceship.

10. We will be back with other news as soon as we can.

11. And now, back to your usual programme « Gardening for Beginners».?

Task 2. Change the sentence using the word given so that a new sentence has a similar meaning to the first one

6 Jim was made to tidy his room before he could go and play in the park.
