Aim of the project:

To develop and present the results of a study of an indefinite article in the form of a brochure.

The origin

The idea of a zero  article takes its origin in the notion ‘zero morpheme’.   

The most typical cases of the absence of articles are:

Before plural nouns if the corresponding singular one is used with the indefinite article.

For example:  It’s been ages an age since we met.   There aren’t such things /

compare: Your daughter is such a sweet little thing/

The most typical cases of the absence of articles are:

Before non-count abstract and mass/material/nouns used in the most general sense.

For example:  But then ,of course, there was love. Life isn’t all fun.
