Press- conference with Leonardo DiCaprio

Pesenter- Today is the 9 th of February and I am happy to announce that a well-known Hollywood actor, Leonardo DiCaprio has come to Moscow to take part in the World Wildlife Conference in defence of Amur Tigers.

Thank you for taking some time off from your busy schedule to answer few questions about your life.

Leonardo- It is my pleasure

Presenter- a lot of journalists from different tv channels have gathered here to ask their questions. Please , your questions.

Journalist from channel 1 – Mr.DiCaprio, how many years have you been an actor?

Leonardo- I have been an actor for more than 25 years. I have made more than 20 films.

Journalist from channel 1 - one of your most famous roles is in the film Titanic. In my opinion, it is one of your best actor’s work but you haven’t received Oscar for this role. Have you been disappointed by this fact?

Leonardo- May be a little bit, but you know that at least I ‘ve received it as the best actor in the drama “ The Revenant” (Выживший) and of course, I am the happiest actor in the world now. I am very proud of having this award.

BBC NEWS - Mr.DiCaprio, we know, that you are an environmental activist and during this conference in Moscow you have had the meeting with Mr.Putin. What are your impressions of this meeting?

Leonardo- Well, I was really impressed because he is a very pleasant person to talk with, but at the same time I felt his power as a leader of the country. To my mind , he is the most powerful leader and politician nowadays.

BBC NEWS - and aren’t you afraid of coming to Russia?

Leonardo- No, I am not, I’ ve got a lot of friends in Russia. Russian people are very friendly and open hearted people and I ‘ve got a lot of fans here too. And don’t you know the fact that my grandmother is from Russia, so I may say, that I am half Russian.

Channel Russia- Mr.DiCaprio, what could you say about the 45^th President of America.

Leonardo- I don’t think, that he is so powerful as the Russian President.

Channel---- the magazine “ People”named you one of the most beautiful people of the world. How do you live with this status?

Leonardo – oh ,I don’t think about it. There are more important things in our life, for example, the global warming or endangered species of animals.

Channel---- Mr.DiCaprio, you are not still married, though you are one of the most attractive and successful men in Hollywood. Is it so difficult to find a good wife?

Leonardo – it is a funny question. I say- the most beautiful and smart women live in Russia and I live in America.

Channel---- and the last question-what are your plans for future?

Leonardo – I am a producer and will play the main role in the film about the 32^nd President of America, Franklin Roosvelt. I think that it will be a very interesting, historical film about one of the most important politician figure of the 20^th century.
