Easter comes in spring on the first Sunday after the first full Moon.

• It is a religious holiday. The Christians are glad over the fact that Jesus Christ rose from the dead. It has some symbols .

• Jesus Christ, the son of god, was resurrected and the Cross is a very important symbol too. The egg is a symbol of a new life. Easter eggs are mostly red and are very beautiful.

Easter Rabbit is a kind symbol of Easter. It eats only grass.

People buy new clothes to wear on Easter Sunday. There is a popular tradition to wear three new things at Easter. They believe these will bring good luck in the year.They go out into the streets. This procession is called The Easter Parade.

• Children like Easter very much because it is a tasty holiday. All the families colour eggs and put them into green, yellow and pink baskets. Next morning children are busy with hunting eggs . They play funny games such as egg rolling and sing Easter songs.

• Пасхальные яйца это очень древняя традиция, восходящая своими корнями в дохристианскую эпоху. Яйца – это символ весны и новой жизни. Обмен и поедание пасхальных яиц – популярная традиция во многих странах.

• В Великобритании многие люди на Пасху украшают яйца, обмениваются ими или ищут их повсюду.
• Многие дети верят, что Пасхальный кролик приходит в их дом или сад, чтобы спрятать там яйца. Некоторые компании организуют специальные игры с пасхальными яйцами.

• Это могут быть соревнования на то, кому удастся собрать больше всего яиц или что-то еще. Например, на севере Англии до сих пор существует традиция катания яиц. Вареные вкрутую яйца скатывают вниз по склону холма, чтобы посмотреть, чье яйцо укатится дальше.
