Frank Frazetta
Since sixteen years Frank began to draw comics professionally, his first works were in a western style.
After that Frazetta drew comics about superheroes cooperated with Walt Disney. Since 1964 Frazetta created the covers for the books, the most known of which were books about Conan and Tarzan. Also Frazetta was the movie cartoonist.
Now Frazetta is considered a classic of fantasy illustration. His pictures are highly appreciated, in 2009 one of them was sold on the auction for 1 million dollars.
He died on the 10th of May, 2010.
Frank Frazetta — the American artist of fantasy, the illustra-tor, the cartoonist, the author of comics. One of the most influential artists of a genre. Frazetta was born on the 9th of February 1928 in Brooklyn, New York, the USA. He graduated from the Brooklyn Academy of Arts.
Paul Kane
In Canada the boy went to the college where since 1830 he took painting lessons. But practically he was a self-taught artist. Kane began his career as an artist of signs and murals of furniture accessories. On the first portraits the artist represented the well-known citizens of town, including the sheriff, the owner of the factory where he worked and his wife. He died on the 20th of February, 1871.
The Canadian artist of the Irish origin. He is known for the pictures of the native people in the west of Canada and other native Americans in the State of Oregon.
Kane was born in Ireland on the 3rd of September 1810, in the city of Mallow. He was the fifth child of eight children.
