There are 4 groups of tales :
- Literary tales
- Folk tales
- Fairy tales
- Stories
Literary tales are written by authors:
Folk tales are not written, they are spoken!

Russian heroes are never positive :
they are lazy (Emelya), foolish
(Ivan, the Fool) or naughty
(Nesmeyana). But they are
not greedy, they are brave and kind.
Russian tales end happily.
English hero is never negative!
He never steals,
he never lies, and
he never sleeps
all day long;
English heroes are
not big but brave and kind.
English tales do not always end happily.
