Fausto Papetti  (Viggiù, 28 January 1923 – San Remo, 15 June 1999) was an Italian alto saxophone player. A jazz musician by formation, Papetti became widely known for producing instrumental covers of some of the most famous pop & jazz songs.

His career began in 1957 when he was playing in the group
  • His career began in 1957 when he was playing in the group "I Campioni" (Champions), which while not toured bezizvestny singer Tony Dallara. 
  • He left the group in 1959, signing a contract with a recording studio Durium, where he played with various artists and musicians, and recorded at home.
The single
  • The single "Estate violenta" was published in 1960 under the name "Fausto Papetti Sax and rhythms", and sold so huge circulations exceeding sales itself original soundtrack of the film, that the record company Durium after such overwhelming success provided Papetti time and place in the studio for recording a solo album already. And in the same year Papetti released his first album under the simple title "Raccolta" (Collection).
In addition to a series of discs
  • In addition to a series of discs "Raccolta", Papetti recorded many albums that became at one time no less popular. Among these albums: "Old America" (Old America), "Evergreen", "Bonjour France" (Zdravstujte, France), "Made in Italy" (Made in Italy), "Rhythms of Latin America" (Rhythms of Latin America) "Cinema anni '60" (From the movie 60), "Cinema anni '70" (from the film 70). 
  • In 1985, after 25 years of cooperation, he leaves "Durium" and goes to CBS, which in 1988 bought the company Sony Music, and since 1989 he is recorded on the record company Fonit Cetra.
