Modern Olympic games — international athletic competition held every four years under the auspices of the International Olympic Committee.

The first Olympic Games were held in Ancient Greece in 776 BC.

One of the reasons the Olympics was the unification of Greece.

The founder of the modern Olympic games was the French aristocrat Baron Pierre de Coubertin.

Today held both summer and winter Olympic games.

In the summer Games included: wrestling, synchronized, swimming, gymnastics, rowing, easy and weightlifting, сycling and other.

But in the winter Olympics includes 7 sports: biathlon ,bobsleigh,сurling, skating, skiing, sledding.

The most popular sports are: football, easy athletics, swimming and сycling.

Athletics is one of the most ancient sports, and it competed in ancient times.

The first Olympic football team. Сompetition was held in Paris in 1900.

To date, there have been more than fifty Olympic games. Summer Olympics thirty-one and twenty-two winter.

The main purpose of the Olympic games was the convergence countries.
