  One of the oldest Easter symbols in the world is the egg. Exchanging and eating Easter eggs and hot cross buns  is a popular tradition in many countries. The eggs are dyed in different colours. Nowadays people give each other Easter eggs made of chocolate.

The eggs are put in a basket. Egg rolling is very popular in England, children roll hard-boiled eggs down a hill.
