- Thanksgiving in England, no one celebrated. It was a holiday of immigrants who set foot on the land, called the New World. In subsequent years, the first colonists continued the tradition of celebrating the harvest day.
- It's called thanksgiving. Its celebration date changed several times until 1941, when Congress established the last Thursday in November as the official thanksgiving Day.
- Thanksgiving is a family holiday. During the day people go to fairs, exhibitions, folk festivals.
- And in the evening gather in houses for a festive dinner. At the table are pronounced words of gratitude to God, family and all the people around them. Gifts to give on this day is not accepted
- One of the distinctive symbols of the holiday is the table. Traditionally, a place of honor on it is roast Turkey. In addition to the baked Turkey, a place of honor on the table is given to pumpkin pie
