La situation entre le Liban et Israël depuis le 8 octobre 2023 est intolérable et présente un risque inacceptable d'escalade régionale plus large.
Cela n'est dans l'intérêt de personne, ni du peuple israélien, ni du peuple libanais.
Il est temps de parvenir à un règlement diplomatique qui permette aux civils des deux côtés de la frontière de regagner leurs foyers en toute sécurité.
La diplomatie ne peut prévaloir en pleine escalade de ce conflit.
C'est pourquoi nous appelons à un cessez-le-feu immédiat de 21 jours le long de la frontière entre le Liban et Israël, afin de laisser la place à la diplomatie en vue de conclure un règlement diplomatique conforme à la résolution 1701 du Conseil de sécurité des Nations unies (UNSCR 1701), et à la mise en œuvre de la résolution
2735 du Conseil de sécurité des Nations unies (UNSCR 2735) concernant un cessez-le-feu à Gaza.
Nous appelons toutes les parties, y compris les gouvernements d'Israël et du Liban, à approuver immédiatement le cessez-le-feu temporaire en conformité avec la résolution 1701 du Conseil de sécurité des Nations unies durant cette période, et à donner une réelle chance à un règlement diplomatique.
Nous sommes alors prêts à soutenir pleinement tous les efforts diplomatiques pour conclure un accord entre le Liban et Israël au cours de cette période, en s'appuyant sur les efforts des derniers mois, afin de mettre un terme définitif à cette crise. |
Ситуация между Ливаном и Израилем после 8 октября 2023 года является нетерпимой и представляет собой неприемлемый риск более широкой региональной эскалации. Это не отвечает ничьим интересам, ни израильскому, ни ливанскому народу.
Настало время достичь дипломатического урегулирования, которое позволит гражданским лицам по обе стороны границы безопасно вернуться домой.

The situation between Lebanon and Israel since October 8th, 2023 is intolerable and presents an unacceptable risk of a broader regional escalation. This is in nobody’s interest, neither of the people of Israel nor of the people of Lebanon.
It is time to conclude a diplomatic settlement that enables civilians on both sides of the border to return to their homes in safety.
Diplomacy however cannot succeed amid an escalation of this conflict.
Thus we call for an immediate 21 day ceasefire across the Lebanon-Israel border to provide space for diplomacy towards the conclusion of a diplomatic settlement consistent with UNSCR 1701,
and the implementation of UNSCR 2735 regarding a ceasefire in Gaza
We call on all parties, including the Governments of Israel and Lebanon, to endorse the temporary ceasefire immediately consistent with UNSCR 1701 during this period, and to give a real chance to a diplomatic settlement.
We are then prepared to fully support all diplomatic efforts to conclude an agreement between Lebanon and Israel within this period, building on efforts over the last months, that ends this crisis altogether. |

It is time for a settlement on the Israel-Lebanon border that ensures safety and security to enable civilians to return to their homes.
The exchange of fire since October 7th, and in particular over the past two weeks, threatens a much broader conflict, and harm to civilians.
We therefore have worked together in recent days on a joint call for a temporary ceasefire to give diplomacy a chance to succeed and avoid further escalations across the border.
The statement we have negotiated is now endorsed by the United States, Australia, Canada, European Union, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, and Qatar. We call for broad endorsement and for the immediate support of the Governments of Israel and Lebanon. |
Настало время достичь урегулирования на израильско-ливанской границе, которое гарантировало бы безопасность и позволило гражданским лицам вернуться в свои дома.
