1. The student will be able to explain the notions «days, day and evening time».
2. The student will learn correctly to answer the question
«What time is it now? » in Russian and in English, using digital and mechanical watch.

Introduction:
Through the questioning, I will establish students' background knowledge of classroom vocabulary. I will establish students’ prior knowledge of common classroom directions (please open your copybooks take out a pencil …)
T: Good-morning, boys and and girls.

The lesson is divided into two parts. In the beginning the students learn to ask the question «What time is it now?» and answer to it and then we shall go to the supermarket. So let`s start our lesson.
Development:
Revision of numerals 1-100.
The task is to distribute ordinal and decimal numerals into two columns. The task is shown on the board Numerals.docand the children fulfill it.
Then the students do the calculation: multiplying, division, subtraction and addition.Examples.doc

Introduction of the new words:'watch', 'clock'. Asking the questions.
What do we need them for?
What makes them different from each other?
Which of you can tell the time? Is it easier to tell the time by mechanical or digital watches?
The introduction of « a quarter» and « half past» (Clocks.pptслайд 3).
Procedure:
Practicing these exercises, the students answer the questions: what hand is а minute one and what hand is an hour one. Intermediate students in the classroom will be given extended work on the smart board. pril2.doc. Some students work with the cards, the rest follow the work on the board. The children are shown the faces of the clocks. They are to tell the time.

The students make up their own dialogues.
Pause:
The game «Morning, afternoon, night» (The teacher name the time of the day, the children dramatize what they do at that time of the day).

Evaluation:
During the lesson, the teacher will observe students` participation. She will also look at the individual patterns to see if each child understands the concept of patterns.
The home task was to visit the shop and to know the prices of «Magnit ».The boys and girls were given the list of products. Now they know the prices and fill in the table of the presentation.
The teacher shows the prices in the English shop Cullen`s (Prices.ppt).
The children answer the teacher’s questions( prices.doc). How much does the coffee cost…? Are there any sweets...?
The class is divided into two groups. The first group is to compare the prices in the two shops. The second group is given 100 rubles and has to buy products.
Closure:
The teacher observes and checks the pupils knowledge.
