Opinion Gap technique
The procedure: the students read/listen to the text. The teacher asks open questions(f.e., ‘Why should/shouldn’t there be a meat-free day?’, ‘How can it help the environment?’, ‘Why is it unhealthy not to eat meat?’, etc); the students offer their opinions on the topic. An outcome is to summarize people’s opinions in writing ( to fill in the chart - ‘Pros and cons’, to create a survey among the school students, to write a for-and-against essay).
