War hasn’t mercy on anyone!
According to statistics, known Great Patriotic War has claimed about 27 million lives of citizens of the Soviet Union. About 10 million of them were Soldiers, the rest - the elderly, women and children. But statistics says nothing about how many children died there.
The war crippled the fate of thousands of children, it has taken away the light and joyful childhood. Children of War, as they could be approaching victory in the extent of its, albeit small, albeit weak forces. In fact the beginning of the war coincided with the beginning of their life ... How many of them were killed unborn ...

a Soviet partisan and Hero of the Soviet Union;
In 1942 a member of Belarusian resistance movement, the local underground Komsomol organization in Obol, Vitebsk Voblast, Young Avengers
distributed Soviet propaganda leaflets in the German-occupied Belarus;
collected and hid weapons for Soviet soldiers;
reported on German Movements.
Zinaida Portnova
participated in sabotage actions at a pump, local power plant, and brick factory;
100 German soldiers had been killed;
Marat Kazei
showed bravery, courage, together with experienced Squad mined railway;
died in battle;
was awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union;
a monument to the young hero in Minsk;
died at May 11, 1944.
Vasya Korobko
Was born on March 31, 1927 in the village of fire victims Semenovski district of Chernihiv region . He took an active part in the guerrilla movement in Chernihiv. He was a scout and later he became a bomber. Destroyed sixteen trains derailed with the Nazi soldiers and military equipment ,brought down ten locomotives.
Was killed in Belarus on April 1, 1944. He was awarded with the Order of Lenin and two Orders of the Red Banner.

Young Guard
The Young Guard was an underground anti-fascist Komsomol organiation, in the German -occupied Soviet city of Krasnodon ( Ukrainian SSR , now Luhansk Oblast of Ukraine ). They were active during the Eastern Front of World War II , until January 1943. They carried out several acts of sabotage and protest before being destroyed by German forces. Most members of theYoung Guard, about 80 people, were tortured and then executed by the Germans.

Arkady Kamanin
Arkady Kamanin was the youngest pilot in the Second World War. He started flying when he was only 14 years old . It is not surprising, given that before the eyes of the boy was an example of his father - a famous pilot and commander. Arkady was born in the Far East, and later fought on several fronts: Kalinin - March 1943 .; 1st Ukrainian - from June 1943; 2nd Ukrainian - from September 1944.
The boy flew to the division headquarters at the regiment command post, transmit power guerrillas. The first prize was awarded to a teenager at the age of 15 years - it was the Order of the Red Star. Arkady rescued the pilot, crashed in the neutral zone Il-2. Later, he was awarded the Order of the Red Banner.
The boy died at age 18 from meningitis. For his, albeit short, life he made more than 650 sorties and flew 283 hours.
Valentin Kotyk
Valentin Aleksandrovich Kotyk (1930-02-11 - 1944-02-17) - was a Soviet pioneer and a partisan scout. He was also the youngest ever Hero of Soviet Union .
During the German-Soviet War he participated in partisan movement in Ukraine . At first, he was an orderly, later he participated in fights, has been wounded twice, killed in action diring the battle for Iziaslav . He received the Order of the Patriotic War 1st class and the Medal "Partisan of the Patriotic War" . In 1957 a film devoted to him was shot. In 1958 he posthumuously received the rank of the Hero of Soviet Union . After that, a number of streets, pioneer teams, schools, steam-ships were named after him, and a number of monuments were erected

Nikolai Franzevich Gastello
His plane was hit and caught fire. He sent a burning plane on the concentration of enemy forces. In case of huge explosion of his plane, enemy suffered heavy losses.
Warsaw Ghetto
The Warsaw Ghetto was the largest of all the Jewishghettos in Nazi-occupied Europe during World War II. It was established in the Polish capital between October and November 16, 1940,on the territory of the General Government of German-occupied Poland, with over 400,000 Jews from the vicinity residing in an area of 3.4 km2 (1.3 sq mi). From there, at least 254,000 Ghetto residents were sent to the Treblinka extermination camp over the course of two months in the summer.
According to approximate estimates, 300000 Jewish inhabbitans of Warsaw Ghetto were perished.
