II. Экскурсия по музею

Учащиеся рассказывают о спортивных экспонатах музея.

Let’s open the door of our museum

  1. Olympic torch

I’d like to tell about the unique item in our museum. It’s the Olympic torch of the 22nd Olympic games in Moscow.

Months before each Game, the Olympic Flame is lit in Olympia. There is a special ceremony that reflects ancient Greek rituals. Then the Olympic torch relay starts. The most famous sportsmen carry the flame to the host city's Olympic stadium, where it plays an important role in the opening ceremony.

So, this torch made a long journey from Greece to Moscow and then to our museum.

  1. Hockey sticks

You can see some hockey sticks in our museum.

Look at this one. It is used for the Russian hockey with a ball. This game is played on an icy football pitch. Actually the game was born in Sweden. I wonder why it’s called Russian hockey?

In 1930s the Canadian hockey with a pock appeared in Russia. Look at this stick. It’s the goalkeeper’s stick. It’s bigger and wider than the player’s stick.

This one was presented to our museum by Петер Пруха, the goalkeeper of Sports Club of Army. He was the guest of our school.

  1. The Champion’s Prize

Борис Селицкий was one of the strongest weight-lifters in 1960s.

He became the Olympic champion in Mexico in 1968. He was the World champion and the champion of Europe.

Now he is 75 years old and he is a good friend of our school and museum.

  1. Two pairs of spikes

These are special sports shoes with spikes for athletes

This old pair of spikes belongs to Владимир Куц. He was the Olympic champion in Melbourne in 1956. He won 2 gold medals in 5,000 and 10,000 metres race. He was called “The king of running”.

Now look at these red spikes. They are the present from Алексей Дмитриев, the World champion in high jump in 2011.

  1. Golden football

This Golden football is the present from the football club “Zenit” veterans. They presented it to our museum at the meeting with the students in 2009. On the ball you can see the autographs of such famous sportsmen as:

a football coach Владимир Храповицкий, master of sport Виктор Спиридонов,

master of sport Василий Данилов, he is the only one “Zenit” footballer, who has the gold medal of the World championship in England in 1966, a football coach Савин (the first coach of Малафеев, my favourite football player).

  1. Natalia Antuh

We are proud of the sportsmen who studied in our school. You can see their portraits on the walls of our museum. I think, that the most famous is Natalia Antuh.

In London Olympic games she won the gold medal in 400m hurdles. It’s her third Olympic medal, but the first gold one. In 2004 in Athens she won the silver and the bronze.

Natalia was born in Leningrad in 1981 and she studied in our school. Some teachers still remember her.
