English proverbs
A friend in need is a friend indeed
He laughs best who laughs last
East or west, home is best.
There is no smoke without fire.
Everything is good in its time.
No pains, no gains.
Strike while the iron is hot
Make hay while the sun shines.
Reciting poems about colors
Green
I am green as green as grass
So I boldly be the fuss.
Brown
I am brown as bear in the forest
Like chocolate and coffee in the chest.
White
I am white like soft cotton
Whiteness of the snow and paper.
Blue
I am blue as the endless sky
And water in the oceans, seas.
Red
I am red as apple fruit
Cherries, beetroots, flowers in the basket.
Yellow
I am yellow like your honey
The sun shines like me.
Black
I am terrible black color,
Coal, night and board together.
Reciting poems
Your arm is long enough
To reach the stars,
Your arm is strong enough
To break all bars.
Your arm has skill enough
To set all wheels in motion
To skim the sky with ships,
To mine beneath the ocean.
Three Wishes
I want to be a pilot
I want to learn to fly
To be a Russian flyer
High in the blue, blue sky.
And pilot, soldier, sailor
In air, on sea, or land
I want to be a soldier
To guard my people free.
Or a sailor, strong and worthy
To guard them on the sea
I’ll always serve my people
And serve my native land.
Work while you work
Work while you work
Play while you play
This is the way
To be cheerful and gay.
All that you do
Do with your might
Things done by halves
Are never done right.
Everybody has a hobby
Everybody has a hobby
And we have a common one
English does attract us
More than stamps and actors
And it is a great fun
Learning English, learning English
That is the hobby that we share
We are fond of learning English
Which is spoken everywhere.

February snows again
And sometimes it brings us rain.

So we know that spring begins.
