| Holidays and memorable days of Russia are officially established in Russia holidays, professional holidays, memorable days, memorable dates, and days of military glory (victorious days) of Russia. Today we will speak more about the difficult period in the history of our country, about the Great Patriotic War. Open your books at page 56. As you know our memory is in its symbols. Look at picture № 3 and answer the question. Do you know its symbols? Let’s match them to the pictures.

| Victory Day is a symbol of a national pride. Its symbols are also its heroes. We honour the memory of heroes. They were brave men, women and even children. Do you meet with war veterans? The next stage of our lesson today is devoted to the virtual meeting with the residents of Krasnodar territory who participated in the Great Patriotic war. You have to be divided into three groups. Each group will receive the cards with the texts. Read these texts and according to the questions above retell the information about the veterans to each other.
