Permission: can, could, be allowed to We can use can/ could/be allowed to – to ask for and give permission. They mean the same thing, but could is more polite than can . We use can/ be allowed to - in the present. We use could/ be allowed to – in the past. We use be allowed to - in the future. Выражение be allowed to (разрешается делать …) используется в том случае, когда мы говорим, что кто-то имеет разрешение на что-то, не указывая при этом, от кого это разрешение было получено.

I don’t have to get up until eleven o’clock during the holydays. 4. I can stay out until midnight on fridays and Saturdays. 5. I can walk the dog but I dont have to feed it every day. 6. I can chose what to watch on TV, whenever I want. 7. My brothers can‘t to use the computer between five and ten o’clock in the evening. 8. Everyone in my family must agree to these rules!
